I’ve always been to the homewood location before. But we were at the Mcwane center and decided to have lunch at the pizitz. Food was excellent as usual. But customer service was seriously lacking. Homewood staff was much more friendlier.

I used to LOVE this place. I’d go all the time, alone or with family, when I lived in Birmingham. I was disappointed to come back and see that it didn’t have the same charm as before. The food is great as usual, but the portions are so tiny now. I could live with that, but the guy who served me got my order incorrectly and was very rude when initially taking my order. I understand having bad days, especially when working a busy day, but I was the only person in line and he still managed to be rude. All the times I used to come, the servers were so sweet and had awesome conversation with their customer service. I hope I just caught him on a bad day, and I’m kinda bummed I’m so far away that I can’t take my order back and have it corrected.

The food here is delicious, and I'm not talking about the eye candy behind the counter.

Avoid this location. The quality of service was poor not greeted, out of food selections, and food freshness is terrible. My bowl wasn't properly filled with an ample amount of food but shorted. The location consistently closes early and doesn't stay open until closing hours. I would never recommend this location, not what I'd expect visiting the Pizitz food hall. Highly disappointed to get food that was sitting out in containers that tasted luke warm. No I did not finish my bowl which cost $14. Waste of time and money. Do better or you won't last downtown.

Fish was great and fresh. Not a wide variety of toppings in general and the toppings they did have I got most of and they were bland. Fish was 10/10, rest of it was just ok.

I was honestly shocked by the quality of poke here. Located in the Pizitz, which is infamous for restaurants consistently opening and closing, Ono Poke is tasty, reliable, and affordable. Especially if you work in downtown, this is a great lunch option that is in walkable distance.I always order their larger bowl, which only costs about $14. For seafood, this is a steal. My preferred protein choice is their salmon, and I always overload my bowl with toppings. The workers are very friendly, but most importantly, efficient. Even if the line is outside of the food stall, they'll have your order out within ten minutes.

I finally gave this place a try after a long time. I don't know why I haven't - I guess the Pizitz just always had something else I wanted to try instead. But I finally gave them a try and I'm glad I did.I got the lava bowl - seaweed, edamame, ginger (I love me some ginger), tobiko, jalapenos, and lava sauce. I chose ahi tuna as my protein and brown rice as my base, which helped cool off the spiciness of the dish. I do wish it would have come with a drink, but that's ok. I might omit the jalapenos next time, but overall, it was a great dish, and I would definitely order it again. I am sad I waited so long to give this place a try, and will definitely be back!

This was inside an upscale food court. We happened on it by chance as we were at the facility across the street. We both ordered Ahi crunch bowls. They were good, just a tad too saucy. I would go back.

Food was decent. Not the best poke that I've had and that is likely only because the sauces which make Poke great imo were just ok. Sauces lacked a bit of heat and flavor for me. Ingredients were fresh and spicy tuna was very good. Overall if you like Poke I don't think you will be blown away or turned off. It's middle of the road, quick pick up Poke.

Very good poke in the heart of Birmingham. A bit more veggies and sauce would have complimented the large rice portion well. I would certainly come back again.

Customer service was amazing. Food so good I forgot to take a picture. The lady there didn't catch her name really cares about customers. We are from out of town but will eat here a couple more times before leaving because of her

Me and my husband live about an hour away, we wanted to try something new so decided to get a poke bowl. We have never been here before again so we asked the lady what she recommended she was VERY rude and told us we just go by the steps. Didn’t even offer us drinks with our meal even though we were dining in. Bad customer service and the food was horribly put together. Will not be back at this location.

Nice to enjoy a piece of Hawaii in Bham! Fresh and tasteful! My kids didn't want any at first glance. Both both agreed it tasted awesome and they wish they would of ordered a poke bowl too!
