First time eating here. Was doing work at a business suite in the same building. Walked in on a whim. Was greeted by a nice lady who took the time to give me some background information on the building and its origin, and even gave me a few recommendations on things to try.I ended up ordering two slices of pizza. Tried the original cheese and the meat lovers. Both slices were fantastic. The crust is different from most pizza places but was delicious and both soft and crunchy.I would definitely recommend this place and will be going back to try other things on their menu.

Food good. Service acceptable. Don’t like being expected to tip at your rate. Should be at my discretion. Wont be back for this reason.

Excellent pizza! The pasta with spicy red sauce was also very good, although might be a bit too spicy for some people (I loved the spicy kick it had).Vegetarian options: There was at least one meatless pizza option. I opted for the pasta and added veggies to it. It was very good!

I went to Trattoria Zaza for dinner Saturday with some of my friends, and we ordered the whole veggie of the day pizza. We weren't sure what specifically would come on it, so that made for a fun and really delicious surprise! The slices were huge and had the right balance of fun veggies with a bit of spice. The inside atmosphere was lively and fun and all of the workers were very kind.

A friend suggested we visit while we stay in Birmingham and I was not very impressed. We sat at the bar and the bartenders did not acknowledge us throughout the night. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. I found it odd that there wasn't the option of bread, either as an appetizer or a side with the meal. Overall okay experience.

Great stop for pizza in Birmingham and some pasta dishes as well. It’s a smaller space so we ended up sitting at the counter in the window which worked great. Slices were excellent.

Picture this: It's a cold, dreary Monday evening in Downtown Birmingham. The sky is gray, and you are freezing... and hungry! You look up, and you see warm light glowing from a window- It's Trattoria Zaza, all lit up and waiting for you! You head inside and place your order- a delicious serving of cacio e pepe will warm you right up. It comes out quickly and is delivered with a smile. The pasta is perfectly cooked and the sauce is exquisitely creamy. The whole atmosphere makes you forget about the cold, dreary outside, and you enjoy your meal in peace and comfort. Now stop just picturing it, and head to ZAZA to make it a reality like I did!

I love some square pizza and I may have to say that ZaZa does it best. It's in the heart of downtown Birmingham with other eateries nearby. This restaurant is counter service, although it has a table service type feel. The staff is always super friendly and the food comes out hot and fairly quickly. The prices are pretty moderate, and the menu has plenty of options (including pizza slices, pasta, salads, etc). I love that ZaZa has their standard slice flavors while also having seasonal or daily slices to choose from. They also have daily specials for each day of the week, which is a pasta or Italian dish of some sort.

Amazing customer service. We felt like a dish was prepared differently, but the staff went above and beyond to ensure it was what we wanted. Thank you to the kitchen manager and all the staff for ensuring a wonderful experience. Will not be the last time here! amazing ambiance as well!

Italian food prepared with local ingredients and local style. Delicious pastas, pizza, and salad. I recommend cabbage soup, fried cauliflower to share and kombucha.
