This is a MUST GO!!! My first visit at this restaurant and I have completely bought in! First, we were received with a pleasant greeting and immediately seated. Upon being seated our drink order was quickly taken and brought to our table. Our order was taken a few minutes after drinks were served...where does this happen these day?! The menu was filled with delicious southern cuisine. I ordered the vegetarian meal...it was great! This is such a great place for families and also good for a hangout spot. Good bar and tvs for watching sports. I was so pleased with the food, so I ordered our Christmas dinner with them. All the food was a hit! I will definitely go back.

One of my go to restaurants. The food is always good. They seem to have a high turnover of wait staff, but the service is never lacking. I like the fact that you can pay at the table, so your credit card never leaves your sight!

Yelp! It's Sunday and everybody wants some good old soul food. Well Dale's always delivers delicious southern cuisine. We are being served by Mariella today! She is on top of it from drinks to desserts. Thanks Mariella, your kindness does not go unnoticed. Dales, You got a crowd today and everybody in their Sunday best. Lots of excitement is in the air as people eat and fellowship. We are a party of 4 today, Ty, Mommy, Dee and Me. We ordered fried green tomatoes as an app. I don't eat them, but they disappeared especially with that tasty Texas Caviar on the side, Yum! Ty got fried chicken, rice and broccoli casserole, sweet potatoes and fried okra. Mommy got a burger, coleslaw and fries. Dee got a half rack of ribs, new potatoes, cornbread dressing and broccoli rice casserole. Ribs were Amazing. I got glazed ham, yams, cornbread dressing and turnip greens. This stuff here good. And they had delicious rolls or cornbread to accompany your meal, Yes I got them both!!! Then, we opted for a southern experience and GOT SOME red velvet cake, peach cobbler and Strawberry Shortcake for DESSERT! I had to change this review to 5 stars, strawberry shortcake alone is worth all the hype. Y'all already know, as long as Dales got that Strawberry Shortcake, She'll be back!

Prime Rib is a great choice at Dales. Sides are abundant and flavorful. Time from order to being served was under 5 minutes. A great choice for families, business meetings and celebrations.

This chain had a restaurant in Vestavia years ago that I visited. It was nice. I have been here a few times and the food is good. I really had my first fried green tomatoes here and I liked them. Today I had fried catfish, twins. Also had fried green tomatoes and carrot soufflé. Both sides were repeat items. Catfish is also. Caroline was our waitress and she took great care of us. The place is nice. There are booths and tables and the hostess is accommodating to your preference of seating. I met some former coworkers there and I am sure we will return.

I was expecting to pay $50-$60 bucks for a decent seafood bag. I had a boil bag DELIVERED for $42 and i picked 3 meats! It was almost two pounds and was fresh and delicious. There flavors we spot on. I strongly recommend the crawfish in your bag they were 5-star worthy. I will definitely order from here again

I could only eat half the Dale's seafood combo plate. It was atop a mountain of fries (they could've been better). The one chicken tender was surprisingly really good. The 6 shrimp were tasty, but the coating they used was off. It was giving crushed corn flakes. I will eat the 2 catfish for dinner but they looked great. All aside, you can't hardly beat Dales cause who gives that much food for $20? Plus, I had two other sides that were included with a roll and a hushpuppy! Awesome deal, tasty meal... lol! I picked it up for lunch. Called in my order and it was ready when they said. Always good service from the cute manager at the bar who commented on my Marvel tshirt. So that's a plus too!

Just got back from a wonderful meal at Dale's Southern Grill in Hoover, AL (outside Birmingham). Googled up the delicious and plentiful food before we could take pictures. It was so good we got hats and sauces (pictured). The crab cake and fried green tomatoes appetizer was divine and enough for 4 to share. We all had seafood...grouper, trout and shrimp and grits. We each agreed that we would order ours again. Dale the owner came by and suggested a few things to try since it was our first time there. We noticed he greet many regulars and go by their tables too. Natalia, our waitperson was friendly, efficient and quick to notice and refill our drinks. If you are in the Birmingham/Hoover area this is the place to go.

We loved everything. Happy to find a new good place to eat. Loved the squash casserole. It had a pinch of heat. Plus the cornbread dressing was very tasty. My favorite was the chicken livers. Very tender and flavorful.

Dale's is such a great place to enjoy good food. The service is always excellent. My only complaint is I wish the tables and booths were a little more spaced between each other for more privacy. Other than that we're repeat customers and am always happy and full when we leave.
Grabbed some takeout for me and my wife this weekend and everything was great. I had the red band rice with andouille, squash casserole and Mac & cheese. My wife had the Shrimp and Grits with Carrot Soufflé and Dressing. Service was quick and friendly. Great flavors and really well prepared.

This was a very reasonable place t eat seafood. The service was great and quick and everyone left full. I got the catfish basket - $9.50. Could not eat it all. It was good, not great. But for the price and service it is worth going to. I should’ve tried the crab legs - but hat will haunt me!!

A Solid 4 stars. This is a low budget seafood restaurant that is quick, has plenty of seating and has good food. The garlic butter seasoning was better than the Cajun the boys had. However, they ordered medium and hot and it seemed mild or so. We will keep them on the list for the next trip!
