Nice ambience. The lady that runs the place is hospitable. But this is NOT authentic Pakistani food.Daal fry doesn't look like this. This was daal soup. Daal fry should have a "tarka" on it. This was rather runny!Chicken karahi isn't supposed to be sweet. PERIOID!They may offer an American a slight version of what we eat but a Pakistani walking thru the door will be disappointed!
I ordered 1st time. Chicken boti kabab and chicken sum biriyani.Perfect taste. I hope the rest of the menu will taste amazing as these two that I have ordered.Rated one star less as I will have to try more.
My favorite restaurant in Birmingham. Ashraf and Mehdi are great hosts every time we visit and help us find new dishes we enjoy. I appreciate them helping us to understand all of the choices and the flavors.
Delicious Pakistani food. The shish kabob is filled with spices and the flavor is great. The entrees are served without accompanied sides. The naan is separate for $1.89 and a $2+ for garlic. The basmati rice is priced the same as the garlic naan. The food tastes as if someone's grandma had her in hand in the preparation. Did I say delicious?
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the service here this weekend. I will definitely be back soon!
It's been years since I've had Indian food, but as I understand it this is Indian/Pakistani food? Let me tell you, it was AWESOME!!!!I'm in town for business and I try to find any spot that I won't find in Georgia, so this was on my list.I had Rice (saffron), Garlic Naan, Beef Samosas and the Goat Kadhai. I had no idea the samosas would be that good. Next time I'll get 2 orders. The goat was tender. The Naan, tasty. I ate EVERYTHING. You can't go wrong coming here. The flavors are unique and definitely not bland. So I've put this on my "top 5 places to eat when I'm back in town every month" list.
The food was INCREDIBLE! The owner was so friendly and had lots of suggestions. We can't wait to go back!!!
I went in to pick my order up and patiently waited as she assisted another patron that was there before myself. While standing in line waiting to be assisted, a family walks into the establishment and the owner proceeded to tell them that she was closed, however the gentleman informed her whthey said they called in the order,. Now instead of attending to me as I was next in line, the owner proceeded to ask the man the name on the order and went behind to the kitchen got their food cashed him out and then and only then acknowledged me. . It was as though I was invisible…. Now to top it off the food albeit spicy like I like was BLAND.
First time having Pakitstani food. Pretty spicy which I love. My only complaint is there were a couple of very tiny bones in the bone out meat dish. Other than that it was packed with savory flavors and was delicious. I will definitely try it again.
We’ve been here several times and the food is always exceptional and delicious. The owners are super sweet and take great care of their customers! Everything on the menu is tasty especially the biryani and kabobs! A true hidden gem that you must try!
I was driving though Hoover and had this strong urge for desi food so I googled and found this place. First of all there was no one in the restaurant on a Friday afternoon which rang some bells in my head but I was already there so I decided to order anyways, behind the counter there was this short lady which terrible attitude and no manners whatsoever. Im a frequent traveler and I have visited more then 40 countries around the world and I eat out 5 times a week, I have never experienced such bad service and rude ness anywhere else in the world. Food was sub standard as compared to the prices. Note to the management, you guys are in service industry how do you tolerate such a rude employee, needless to say I will never ever go back to this piece of crap run-down joint again.
Incredible place. You’ve never had Indian/Pakistani food this good. I promise you. The owners are wonderful people and take tremendous pride in providing an awesome dining experience. You will become a ‘regular’ immediately. A+++++
This place was one of my favorite places to eat when I lived in Hoover. The behari kebab (spicy) and the chicken malai boti are incredible, not to mention I unique to anything I had tried before. The chicken tikka breast was very good. Every other Thursday they do this curry noodle dish that was top 5 in my favorite BHAM area foods. Check Facebook, as they advertise this and other deals weakly. Sadly I never tried the chicken tikka masala pizza before leaving the area, but the next time we are in town we will definitely be back.
We were looking for a Pakistani Restaurant and came across Kabob Li ious in Alabama. We had Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Malai boti, Naan, and for take out we did Chicken Samosas and Aloo Samosas. The food was flavorful and fresh, only complaint is chicken tikka masala gravy was mostly tomato paste. The customer service was great. We would love to stop by again and try more dishes.
Delicious, fresh, fragrant food in a casual atmosphere. I was new to the food but it was wonderful. A little pricey, but understood given the nature of the ingredients and time it takes to cook.
