Great food, great service. Atmosphere is a bit loud so not good for quiet, romantic dinner but you will be well fed! No vegetarian options except for appetizers. No began at all.

I thought while good food there wasn't a great selection at brunch.

Excellent, had the Baked Avocado app and the Paneed Chicken. Super fresh, great crispy breading on a bed of mashed with mixed green salad on the same plate. Love the simplicity.

I only stopped on for a Togo coffee on my way out of town, but everyone was very friendly. The barista was knowledgeable of the coffee drinks. We had a nice conversation as he made my Americanos.

Best steak I’ve ever had. And I’ve had fine dining in the best steak houses in South Florida and Texas. Hands down the best.

When my lunch was served today, I saw why it was not busy at high noon. Very, very disappointing. Macaroni and cheese and the baked beans had to have been left over from a day or so ago -- and they were not hot. Not even warm. Fried chicken was good. Very pricey for a poor product-- and I went home hungry. So did my companion. The server did a good job, and was apologetic. I didn't see anyone appearing to be in charge to address with the issue. We will not be back.

We went for lunch. Had to move outside because inside was extremely dark… chandeliers are cute, but makes it feel a little more like a bar than a restaurant during the day. Air-conditioning was pumping even though it is January and was only in the high 60s outside.Food all tasted really good, however, was very overpriced for what you got. Surprisingly small portions. Don’t mind lunch portions, but should also then be lunch pricing. I got the beans and rice (lite scoops of both) and the avocado snack… $26 and I’m leaving hungry. My daughter got the fish sandwich and the bun was twice the size as the fish fillet. Light on sides/potatoes all around, except salad. Burger did not even include lettuce and tomato…had to ask for extra. $95 lunch w/o any drinks (n/a or alcoholic). Yikes…big city prices.Maybe dinner is better. Because the service and taste of the food was good will give them a second chance…fingers crossed.Kid-friendliness: Patio good for kids

when I walked into this place, my expectations were not very high. there were not many people there, except for the bar which may be a little skeptical at first, but we were hungry. we sat down and had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan who took care of us and made all of the recommendations including the uptown chicken which is an absolute must. in fact, I liked it so much that I asked for sauce on the side for my cheeseburger and fries. I know the reviews here average about a four, but I have to give it a five just based on the simplicity of the menu, the service, and the two items that I ordered. I also had a margarita which was on point. however I did make a change to the recipe and asked him not to put pineapple in it. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the place and I can't wait to go back for that uptown chicken. Oh, and by the way, by the time we left, the restaurant was packed.

Five stars for Five! We had only a brief wait on a Saturday night, which we spent by ordering a drink at the bar. My husband really liked his Category 5 and my local beer was excellent. Our waitress (sorry I forgot her name, sweet special ed grad student) was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. My panéed chicken was delicious and my husband really enjoyed his rib eye. The ambience was pleasant and upbeat without being loud. My husband’s hearing aids often make it difficult for him to hear in restaurants, but he had no problem. We were definitely older than the average customer, but felt welcome, and we really enjoyed our meal. We would definitely recommend Five & will come back if we stay in Tuscaloosa again.Parking: Parking was free on weekends, just be willing to drive around the block and walk a tiny bit.

Service was great! Food was good. Atmosphere was welcoming. Well worthwhile. I'll be sure to stop by for a Sunday brunch every time I'm in town.

Always good service at five bar. Although the food options are limited (because it's five bar) their chicken is a weekly order for me. Jazz brunch is also nice on Sundays with parents.

What else can I say, ever since 5 Bar started 5 Java about 8 years ago I have had my morning coffee and breakfast at least 6 mornings a week, every month for every year since.
