It was very good, but it was also expensive for what it was. We both got a meal, one with 2 sides and one with 3 sides, and we each got a drink. Not expensive meals either, one was baked chicken and the other was catfish (3 pieces, which was their small). One of my sides had an up charge of $1.50. I will say the portion sizes were bigger than expected. But we think it might be because we told them it was our first time here, because they gave us more food than we ordered.Our total was $50... which is more than we are used to for meat and 3 places. So... it was good. But I won't call it great. It also took a long time for our food to come out.We don't think it's $50 good, but it is at least worth the try.

I called today to place an order over the phone. Someone answered and said "you're gonna have to hold on" and hung the phone up. I called again cause the phone hung up and they said again "you're gonna have to hold on". I held the phone for 7 minutes. They didn't say "thanks for calling kings kitchen, will you please hold"? If it's not Ms. Jackie or Susie, you won't get good service. It's the typical black business with bad attitudes. The owner's wife is rude and disrespectful also. Shut it down if you're tired of people spending their money with u. I ended up going to Foosacklys. I don't beg people to spend my money with them.

I had the pork chop dinner with mashed potatoes, Lima beans, cornbread and I also got the peach cobbler. Everything was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend eating there if you are in Tuscaloosa.

I wanted to like this place so bad but I’d have to give an overall 3/10 because the only thing was ok was the Pork Chop and the strawberry cake which still wasn’t that great but it was edible. My fried chicken hardly had any meat on it, the Mac n cheese was just okay but kinda mushy and the corn bread, THE CORNBREAD was dry as the Sahara desert and had no taste. I wouldn’t recommend eating here and I would never eat here again.

We discovered this awesome restaurant a couple of weeks ago- we own a window tint shop on Skyland and it's so easy to order lunch online and go pick it up. They are always busy but I haven't had to wait to get my food. The food is AMAZING- it's well seasoned, the meat is always tender, and the portions are huge. I can eat twice from each meal I get there. PLEASE for the love of all things good, give this place a try. In a world plagued by a severe shortage of excellent meat 'n threes, this place is a gem!!!

Wow! We found this place on a road trip through Tuscaloosa and it was all so good! We recommend the baked chicken, catfish, chicken tenders, mac and cheese, fried okra, mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans! Staff was very friendly and restaurant was clean.
