My server was attentive and kind. We all ordered drinks and they were delicious. I got the root beer rum and it was amazing! I ordered the shrimp and grits tacos and they hit the spot! I will be returning! :)

Take this review with a grain of salt, after my meal, I ran into a friend of mine who informed me that the restaurant was in a transition period.
I sat at the bar, I ordered the Taco plate and got Chorizo, Carnitas, and Fried Chicken, with black beans and french fries as my sides. The corn tortillas took over the flavor of the tacos, which to me signifies that the meat wasn't seasoned enough. The carnitas were a little tough and no flavor to speak of, certainly no cinnamon came across, the chorizo was a total wash. The fried chicken tasted and looked like they fried chicken strips and cut them up. Not terrible, but so basic and especially charging $5 a taco is kind of wild. The black beans were really sweet(derogatory), and the fries, while well seasoned, were a little floppy for my taste. The service was good if not a little overbearing at times, and underperforming other times. The menu said the taco plate was $14, but I was charged $15. I quickly ate what I was gonna eat and was ready to bounce. The new owner asked me how everything was and I was honest, I told them about the menu thing and they were quick to change it, they told me about the transition and I expect great things once the transition happens. I'll be back to try again once that happens.

An employee stole my sweater tonight. I just left 30 minutes ago and they all of a sudden don’t see my sweater. Roll the video footage. It is there and I will never support this place again.

Only went here because I saw the menu had VEGAN items. Just know that they don’t. The new menu doesn’t have a vegan menu. They accommodated but it wasn’t that great unfortunately. If you’re vegan, you won’t get a full meal here.

From the moment I walked thru the door as a visitor to the block, until our last brunch on Sunday morning, this amazing team served up the best hospitality and freshest scratch meals I have possibly ever had. The Mockingbird Bar and Tacos provides so much more than advertised. They are the full ticket in hospitality providing; AMAZING staff and personality, sports entertainment and best of all the most delicious and satisfying and affordable meals. From breakfast to burgers and all the fair in between. They may be SoMa's best kept secret. Do not leave without trying the salsa! Their cocktails and mocktails were a total bonus. This Mockigbird Bar and Tacos was a wonderful addition to the memories made in the SoMa district this week. We are looking forward to our next visit!! Best to you all, Lori and Carl

We waited well over an hour to get our order for tacos, nothing complex. We ultimately had to get going. I could see the staff was pressured and short to the customer demand. Management certainly failed them.
