Great customer service. It’s rare to have such a friendly and welcoming presence in restaurants and shops. The guy who helped us was fantastic!

When I travel to Little Rock, my team stays in the Downtown Courtyard. This means we enjoy the Bistro and Bar located inside the Marriott. The food is amazing, but a little pricy. The bartenders are amazing, funny bc and attentive to enjoy in the group, even to the pint she knows many of us by name. The atmosphere is top notch for collaborating with your team or just kicking back and relaxing after a hard day.

Best of Little Rock!

'We will take this as a training exercise' the manager said as we detailed to her the problems we had since arriving - this is not good enough, I thought. How many training exercises do you need to finally increase the IQ of some very slow or non responsive staff? - we booked the hotel weeks in advance as hotel members and sent our requests for a quiet room. We called once again before reaching the hotel, as we were driving through a storm from Memphis which delayed our arrival to 10pm in the evening. Shaniqua (or Shafiqua) promised she will write down our requests. As we arrived, the receptionist informed us there was nothing on file, while chatting away to another client saying the cleaner (sat on the reception desk) does not have any information and we should talk to her. 'How important does she think she is?' I wondered. - room 522 was located right at the end of the hallway, near 5 other room doors I noticed with people who kept coming and going with doors slamming hard. We can hide in the long suite, I thought, but no, it was overlooking the interstate I 30 we just came from with traffic 24/7. Surely this could have been avoided if a room was to be reserved on the other side of the hotel, clearly the management is not doing a very good job at training the useless receptionists. - no breakfast included and the majority of their around 50 channels were not working 'because of the storm' - imagine all the hotels in the world not to have TV working because of a storm!!!! - some 3 toiletries in the bathroom, thin bedding sheet that made me scratch the whole night - no wonder the next days I was a wreck - hairs in the bath tub and around - as per my pictures, proof no cleaning was done properly - very funny looking ceiling, dirty, marked wood surfaces - everything was bringing down something which could have looked like a 5 star hotel - no tea bags in the room - I wish I knew that to bring my varieties of tea from home - thank God the main road was not busy and there are several restaurants nearby. A supermarket, having just basic things is located a few streets away - parking is 10 USD per night and you can access it from the back of the hotel: it is a public parking though and then have to drag your suitcases though some outside areas, and press the buzzer for the receptionist to come and open it late at night - what a mess, you think: I could surely do much better without this and seeing the receptionist' moody face. If she worked for me I would have asked her to pack her bags and leave on the spot.

Family of four stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it. The hotel staff were super nice and helpful, shoutout to Patrick with housekeeping making sure we were taken care of and delivering some items to our room. Our room was very clean and big. We booked two queens. The bathroom was a little worn, but clean. Parking is around the corner. If you're in front of the hotel, turn right at stop sign, take right at next stop sign, parking garage to the right. Take parking slip and park, and go down one of the double elevators down to the ground floor. Few steps into the hotel. The hotel will give you a parking slip to show when you leave/exit garage. the hotel is close to many good restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

One night stay in LR last weekend. We had an issue with the cleanliness of our room, I did not notice some of problem until the morning of check out and stepped into the shower, so I contacted the hotel directly and let them know. I understand that everyone is understaffed right now, employees are spread thin, so I did not make a public review. My intention was to simply inform them so they could correct the situation in the future. Today I received a call from Tanita Gilliam, from Marriott, who thanked me for my feedback and made the effort to make it right. I very much appreciate the way Tanita handled the situation. Things don't always go exactly as planned. People are human, mistakes happen, but I respect any company that goes above and beyond to rectify the situation and take care of their customers.

Fran was very pleasant and accommodating, she listened to my concerns and handled everything with care and in a very professional manner. I will visit this location again because of its location and the staff. The location is great and accessible to downtown area.

Thanks to the associates that made my stay wonderful. Robin at the front desk is so personable and helpful, which made me feel like a VIP. Also, Homer was very personable throughout my stay assisting me at breakfast and at the front desk. I had a very quiet room, thanks John for assisting me in my needs during check-in both nights of my stay. All of you made my stay very enjoyable. The Courtyard is also perfectly located downtown Little Rock. Several restaurants are located within blocks of the hotel. And for the runner/walker the hotel is located right next to the Arkansas River Trail system, which is so scenic. I always look forward to my downtown stays in Little Rock. The Courtyard is a very good choice!

The employees were friendly but other then that, this is not your normal Marriott hotel. I have NEVER seen a Marriott in this bad of shape. The walls have cracks, the air conditioning unit in hallway sounded like a freight train, the first of the three rooms we were in looked like there were foreign objects under the bedding, the second room-looked like snow angels had been made on the bed and the third...well was better then the first two. Needless to say if we had not been on the road all day and hated the idea of getting back in the car we would have went on down the road. I hate leaving bad reviews and usually do not, but with so many good reviews, I cant figure out why we had such a bad experience.

I know this is long, I just feel that people have the right to know what is going on in their room that they paid for while they’re not there. I really enjoyed most of my first stay here. I was going to make this my main hotel for the next several months while I was working in Little Rock. But I found out about a bizarre policy that was not disclosed to me upon check-in. A few days into my stay, I just so happened to have the morning off. So I was sitting in my room at a time I usually wasn’t there. A housekeeping person entered my room even though I had to “do not disturb” on my door. I later found out this was a “wellness check” policy. I contacted Marriott & the front desk concerning the matter. The hotel informed me that there was no way to opt out; regardless of me rejecting housekeeping services and having a do not disturb on my door, housekeeping was permitted to enter my room every several days against my wishes. This made me quite uneasy, and so I had to cancel my future reservations. Regardless, I will say the room was very nice/spacious, the staff is very welcoming/attentive, and had come to know me by name. It’s unfortunate that a policy like this exists, and it’s quite unnerving that guests aren’t informed of its existence. Otherwise, I would definitely be back. Transparency is key in the hospitality industry. My other complaint is that housekeeping is quite loud while cleaning rooms. They turn the upper security latch of the door so it’s in the frame (so the door stays open without them having to keep using their key). Because of that I’m sure it’s much easier to enter rooms to clean. But instead of quietly closing them, they let the door slam against the latch every time they leave a room, which, obviously is very disruptive.

Only thing going for this place is the location. The hotel rooms are way overdue for a remodel. My husband is titanium elite with Bonvoy and we were allowed to utilize a Suite Night Award. Upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite with separate living area with sofa bed. When we exited the elevator there was a bag of trash sitting by itself in the hallway. The bathroom was especially pitiful. The paint was chipped, the walls had been touched up with mismatched paint and the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner bottles had been removed from the shower and were sitting on the vanity and the artwork had signs of water damage. The entire room was air conditioned by a single wall unit which was unable to cool the entire space. There was no bedding in the suite for the sofa bed. When we went to call the front desk the phone did not have a dial tone so my husband had to go down to the lobby to retrieve the bedding himself. Also the parking situation is terrible. There is no valet and street parking is limited. It’s $10 to park in the garage behind the hotel and the front desk staff gives you a ticket to turn in upon check out and your room is charged for the parking. The parking garage is kind of sketchy making the walk from car to access hotel worrisome. Courtyard definitely missed the mark with this stay. The location gives the hotel potential but there definitely needs to be some upgrades to enhance the guest experience.

Stayed here for two nights last week with friends. We wanted to compliment some of the employees who were so nice. Cheri, in the bar was such a gem. So very friendly and made some wonderful drinks. We came back the second night to drink there just because of her. Tremika, at the front desk. All the ladies working there were nice but we talked to Tremika the most. So very friendly and helped us out with whatever we needed. The hotel overall was okay. But it was the people working there that would have us go back to Courtyard in the future.

The location was amazing, right in the heart of the River Market district and walking distance to so many great things. The staff was friendly but unfortunately so many were new and didn't know the area well enough to give feedback. The hotel website makes it sound like there's a restaurant on site. It's a counter with a very limited selection...and that's when you can actually find the staff person who is supposed to be working it. We ended up having to do postmates because we gave up! Also the hotel itself is either run down or dirty, it was hard to tell. Lots of chipped paint and chipped ceilings and spider webs in the corners of ceilings.
