It’s been a few years since the last time I had Big Jake’s. I got the #2 Junior Combo with Brisket, Colesaw, Toast, and Baked Beans. I also ordered a drink and fried cherry pie. All together it was around $18. Taste wise it was enjoyable and the person working the takeout window was polite. I was a little disappointed with the size of the brisket they gave me.Next time I’ll get something else

Don't hand off your debit card to people here. They'll take a picture of your card and buy laundry tokens online.

Best barbeque in town. Their baked potatoes can be a meal in itself.

Ran across this place in my travels and decided to give it a whirl. There is plenty of parking here. You walk in and order at the counter, and the menu is posted on the wall to your left, coming in, above the ordering counter, and on the counter where you place your order. The young guy taking my order could not answer what type of sausage was that was listed on the menu. He also had a hard time hearing me for some reason. It's a seat yourself kind of place, and you dump your own trash and place your basket on a shelf above the trash can. I ordered the medium plate with 2 types of meat with cole slaw and baked beans. The beans had a decent flavor to them, and the cole slaw was good and crisp. The sausage was s polish kielbasa type and was good and juicy and flavorful. The brisket was sliced but was lacking in any good flavor. It did not have a deep smokey flavor at all. I had to use BBQ sauce on it to help it out, and it was a bit on the dry side. They did have pickles and onions on a little condiment bar, and they had multiple BBQ sauces to choose from. All in all, it's an okay place, but they need to have a better smoky flavor in their meat. 1 1/4 thumbs up on this one.

The food was great as usual. But then I got charged twice nearly 90 dollars for one time of dining. So watch out and pay attention to your charges on your credit card after you eat there cause they might charge you twice.
