Excellent BBQ! I love the good smoked flavor and the meat is always tender. They have a great variety of dishes and fries lol. What is up with some of these BBQ places not serving fries?! I love the rustic/antique vibe, which adds to the dining. On a nice day, they have a dining area on the front porch. The service is always wonderful.
Arrived around 1 on a day that they close at 8pm. We paid $50 for our food, and then they came to tell us they were out of 2 of the 5 meats we ordered. Poor planning, since they still had a lot of afternoon left to remain open. The Mac and cheese is awesome, and so is the chopped chicken. We interacted with three staff members--the woman that took our oder was aggressive and unfriendly, but everyone else was awesome. The decor is neat, and the burger station is a nice touch.

Friendly staff but food wasn't that great. Especially for almost $40. Each meal had something missing. Mac n cheese is the same you get at Harps. They catered a Christmas party I went to and food wasn't great then either.

We recently moved from south Texas to NWArkansas. and love our Texas Barbecue. We have been searching for good barbecue for the year we have been here. Today we found the jack pot in the little town of Yellvile. Black Sheep Barbecue & Grill has the absolute best barbecue, mac-in-cheese and banana pudding we have found. Prices were fair and service was outstanding. Definitely a must visit while in the area or worth the drive as we did on our motorcycles from Jasper.

Ok, so I had a cheeseburger without the bun or any sides. They STILL charged $9.99!! For the thinnest non flavorful burger I’ve ever had. Never again!Good customer service would have been to adjust the bill lower for everything I did not get. They couldn’t even put a tomato on it. I was instructed to go to the “burger bar” with that had about 6 hours old slices of tomatoes. No mustard, no mayo. Gee thanks. For $10 I should have got a non plastic fork that didn’t break when I tried to cut up my little burger patty. Of course, they had to mention they were on the food network. Who cares? I’m just looking for a good variety of good food at a decent price.this is a hard pass
