My favorite place to eat in Auburn. Richard always makes us feel welcome and the chef is amazing. Servers know their wine and do a great job with pairing. Classy and relaxed. A hidden treasure.
Go here for brunch! My friend and I both had the Crab Cake Bennie and it was amazing! Crab cake was pretty much 100% crab, light, and perfect. We also tried the bloody mary bar - I like the idea and the number of choices, but probably I would have been just as happy if they'd made it for me. Either way, the product was delicious. Highly recommend for brunch (haven't tried lunch or dinner yet).
Great atmosphere and food. While it is not necessarily a "bar scene" the drinks they serve are among the best in Auburn. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great food, music, service and drinks.
We went for our 25th anniversary and The Depot made us feel so special. The salad and the entrees were extremely good (grouper), and the dessert (peach tart) was insane! Highly recommend.
Best Restaurant in Auburn, AL My wife and I recently went here for our 4th wedding anniversary. When we arrived, our table had a handwritten letter on the table wishing us a happy anniversary. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxing and perfect for a date or a family dinner. As far as the food goes, please get a seafood item on the menu. While there are other options available to accompany all tastes, seafood is certainly their specialty. Not a seafood person? I wasn't either until I ate here. I grew up not enjoying or eating fish. This place has completed changed my perspective on seafood! If you're looking for an appetizer, we got the salmon poke bowel, and it was nothing short of a delicacy. It's a common dish found in Hawaii, but this restaurant brings it to Auburn, AL and does it very well. For the main course, I had Waloo fish flown in from Hawaii as well, which was nothing short of perfection. Part of what makes this place so good is the quality/source of for all of their seafood. I guarantee you the seafood at this place is far greater than anything you will ever eat at the beach. My wife had the grilled swordfish & Lamb Chop combo, and she absolutely loved it (she's a seafood person). I tried hers as well and it had a wonderful taste, with a hint of mint which made for a very unique flavor. For dessert... Wow! Best bread pudding in town for sure (surpasses Acre in every way). I also got a chocolate pudding (it has a different name but forgot) that was very rich. I'm a chocolate lover and this surpassed all expectations. Not only do they have the best food in Auburn, the staff is wonderful and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure your experience is nothing short of perfect.

Different experience than your normal restaurant. Had brunch being a Sunday. Chose a simple cheeseburger with fires. I would rate above average. Fries were very good. They do offer a lot of choices with different types eggs. This was my second visit within a month and this does require about a hour drive from my home. Would definitely eat here again. Could put ice in their water. Tip, make reservations.
Food was absolutely phenomenal. Great staff and fair prices. I had the steak and eggs and couldn't have been more pleased. Served by Charles and he did an excellent job. I will return and highly recommend
We went here for brunch one Saturday. The bloody mary was amazing. It was definitely top 5 for me. The food was tasty and service was great. It's a little pricey but it's worth it! I love that you can order from the Coffee Cat menu too.
Awesome aesthetics and great beer selection, but the food and drinks are typically overpriced. The staff is not the friendliest or most attentive and always seem in a rush. Their 50/50 (half ground prime rib, half ground, house-cured, bacon patty) burger is probably the best in town, but are only served on Thursdays at 5:00 pm (but typically sell out before then), and they continually decrease how many they make per week. Their Sunday brunch is great! Overall, the negatives near balance out the positives to make this place just, "ok" and not a must-go-to.
I'm 89% vegan, sooo, I really enjoyed the pork rinds and the pimento cheese was to die for.. We decided to spread the cheese on the rinds and it was pure perfection! The gem salad was fresh and amazing, the staff was very friendly, inviting and engaging! Would definitely come back!

Wow. What an amazing meal. It's valet parking only complimentary. The prices were a bit high but.omgosh. I don't think there's one thing that isn't worth it. They have a kids menu as well and a burger that can be ordered not in the menu. The gardens outside are so awesome and the kids loved it all! Def a must try and we will def be back!!!
Acre has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, a nice interior, but a unique dining experience in Auburn comes at a price. For starters, you immediately notice the acoustical limitations of talking to the person sitting right next to you as it is about as loud as Jordan Hare on gameday inside the restaurant. Second, the prices are a stretch. The food is very good, and we enjoyed everything we ordered. However, the prices for entrees was excessive and a turnoff. Enjoyed the food, but not likely to be back next time I'm in town because of the haute pricing.
such a fun brunch spot!
Acre is one of the, if not the, best place to eat in the region. For a typical day, I would definitely recommend the lunch over the dinner, as it's very affordable and the meals are unmatched in taste and quality. We've had dinner here once or twice, and while great, we definitely prefer the lunch over that. The atmosphere inside and out are also amazing, love the pear trees and garden outside and the interior has a great feel and AMAZING smell. HIGHLY recommended.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary there last night. It was so loud, nothing cozy about it. It's like a high end sports bar without a TV. The staff was great but our food was cold not to mention the duck was completely rare and swimming in a super sweet sauce, the risotto was so over cooked it was like eating rice pudding. Spending $90 on cold food in a bar setting isn't my idea of a romantic anniversary dinner. Not recommend!!

The food was fast and okay. But the service was awful! I wasn't greeted at all when I came in or when I came up to the counter. I let the girls up front know that I hadn't been there before and they literally just stared at me! The only things they said to me were, "What side? Do you want a drink? $x.xx is your total." Talk about cold and hands off! I just about turned around and got lunch somewhere else!
Not my favorite barbeque in town but it's still delicious. They have great specials and overall very good place to eat. Recommend.
Their hickory BBQ sauce is the best I've ever tasted and man are their ribs delicious! Also this is the first time I had chipped beef in my Brunswick stew. Would go again when I get a chance to swing by Auburn.
Best BBQ in Auburn. Great food, good prices and great lunch deals. You can't go wrong eating here.
By far the BEST BBQ in town. Their rib plates sell out quick

It's a meat-and-three despite the odd name. It's pretty good but not great. The staff is efficient and friendly but the prices are a little too high.
Great country food at good prices. Staff are wonderful and working hard to serve.
I had forgotten all about veggies to go. I used to go to the one on college street when I was younger. My grandmother would get my sister and I some food there at least 2xs a week. We love the country fried steak and pork chops. Now that I am now military retired and back home. I took my daughter to the pediatric clinic yesterday and I was leaving and spotted veggies to go. The one on Glen is better than all of them. Great cooks back there. So I went yesterday and today my husband left me money to go back today. I'm so in love. I think I'm gonna get broccoli casserole again today with fried green tomotoes..I'm undecided about squash casserole or green bean casserole....geesh I'm starving now I can eat a meat and five veggies......Yes I'm pregnant and I crave for this. So I got to have it.
This place should be ashamed of them selves . Dirty dirty place . We walked in customer service was good . This was our first time here . We heard they had good food and alot of variety . Which was true the food was pretty good except the mashed potatoes were so old they were brown but I couldnt eat all my food because this place is so filthy . The walls look like someone splattered food all over and we had our baby with us and all the highchairs looked like they haven't been cleaned in years . They had all kinds of hard dried up food stuck on them . The booth we sat at had food and grime in the crease and the back . It truly looked like they NEVER deep clean this place .
The customer service was awful and so was the food, I will not be eating here again nor recommending this place to anyone else
