Walkin' On Main event day - okay, probably THE busiest day of the year/events for Old Town Cottonwood. Had never been here to eat, didn't seem too busy inside, and my classic car was parked right out front. So, in we go, 1pm. Sit down, waited 25 mins to get drinks and chips. Looked like 1 teen soft-drink server, and 1 woman server/cashier. And I am not kidding, she seemed like she was stoned. "Why is it so busy?!" "I didn't think it would be this busy!" "I'm all by myself..." And then she'd LAUGH! We waited...not kidding...another 35 minutes to order...4 TACOS! A few people that had ordered before us actually left, they gave up on waiting. When WE ordered, they were out of shredded chicken - 3 hours after opening on a Saturday on their busiest day of the year! Our food didn't take too long after we ordered - maybe 15 minutes (4 tacos). The tacos and salsas were pretty good, might try it again, but NOT on a busy/event day. The owners have to get with the program though, and amp up their staff and food supplies on Game Day!

Excellent queso! They had a very limited menu, but it was very good! The fish and chips taco was awesome. It was had different toppings than I was expecting, which was a pleasant surprise. The Smoky Mountain Taco wasn't as good, it needed more meat for the price. Hopefully there will be more options on my next visit.

Absolutely one of the worst meals ever! Fantastic street of amazing restaurants…beware to those who venture in. Green salsa tasted like a can of green chilis. Ordered nachos…presentation looked like vomit! Also ordered street tacos…meat was at a premium….one gal was there to run the bar and bus the tables! She needs a raise! By the way, was informed by the waitress/bartender that half the menu was not available…so to lack of food!

They were out of almost everything, including guacamole, and more than half of the protein choices. We saw several people come in and leave without ever ordering, we should have followed suite. While there a customer at the bar (that was obviously friends with the bartender) made a joke about changing the name and putting a big KKK on the wall, I commented that that's a poor joke. And the bartender started rambling about having a Black friend some story about him making a joke that he was gonna sell confederate flags to the bikers. It made an uncomfortable situation even worse. I wish I could say the food made up for all of that- however it was mediocre at best.

Love this place for carne asada tacos. They are authentically all meat, nothing else just as they should be.

Had a great lunch there last Sunday. The basket of chips they give you right away were tasty and the salsa bar with choices from hot to not was a fun addition. My buddy and I both had the tacos and they were excellent. The carnitas taco and the cactus taco were so good. The rice and beans on the side made for a filling, delicious meal. The margaritas were well made and the service was outstanding. The place was clean, bright and welcoming. I’d come back for sure.

From our salsa and starters to our Tacos, everything was tasty. The Pico was divine as was the tomatillia salsa. The hotter two salsas weren't hot and not much flavor so that was a bummer. The pickled then fried cactus fries were great and a first time for me with cactus. The corn was delicious. It didn't remind me of authentic street corn probably because of the lack of taijin and the use of an herb aioli but I wouldn't change it because it was awesome! The Carne Chicken street taco was so so so good! Better than the Carne asada. The black beans...however they were stewed, we want that recipe!! And the use of the roasted corn in the Spanish rice was a nice touch. We will be back. And the margaritas were not bad!-Tino

Left 10 dollar cash tip on table--check was 34$$ and they added an additional 5 dollars onto my credit card I noticed when it was processed--had to do claim through my bank, thought I was being generous and they kicked me in the face.....watch your check, shady people!!!!!!!!!

Visiting Sedona and wanted to escape the rain so we drove to Cottonwood looking for Cactus Fries. We were happy to stumble upon this place. Tacos were very tasty and interesting, the roasted tomato salsa was so good. Also, try the fry bread it's delicious!! Staff were friendly.

My wife, 2 year old daughter, and I went here today on father's day to celebrate, and unfortunately for us, piquto Loco recently employeed two of the most unprofessional rude children they could of hoped for. Kendal and Dione were fired from my previous employer who we worked together. Due to this they felt the need to make us wait, be rude, and give My wife and I dirty looks the whole time. I will never eat here again until they are gone, and will tell everyone I know about this unprofessional way they treat customers

I took my husband to poquito Loco for Father's day, and couldn't figure out why the staff so rude, ignoring us, and refused to give us napkins to clean our baby after she spilled food on herself. My husband told me that his old boss fired Kendall from when they worked at together at bloom. The way they acted was out of line, not to mention my husband never said a word or looked at these individuals. I feared for the safety of my daughter and myself

One of the best authentic Mexican food I have ever had. Did a quick to go last minute, 5 minutes before closing on the Memorial Day! Couldn’t be grateful enough for accommodating dinner for my family that day. They have a variety of salsa which you can pick and choose which comes with complimentary chips! Also cactus fries are my new favorite!!!A must visit if you are in the area. Friendly, loving and caring people out there!!

Visiting the area from out of state, found this place on google. We went in and were the only table for a while, and after having the food and awesome service it was astounding that it wasn’t a full restaurant!! Food is great, highly suggest the cactus fries, margaritas are great too!!

LOVE this restaurant. The employees are very nice people and the food is TO DIE FOR. I dream of those thai chicken tacos every night. A chef in the back named Brandon would always welcome me with the biggest smile and knew my order before I even walked up to the counter. 5 stars FOREVER!
