This stop provided everything you can ask for for a quick fast-food lunch. It's got your usual Mexican food staples - the bean and cheese burrito, fajitas, tacos, etc. It's likely overshadowed by the all the brewpubs in the area, and it's location is a bit tricky. There is also another popular, funky taco stop across the street. I ordered an ice tea and the bean burrito (not too many veggie or pescatarian options, but you can't go wrong with the old fashioned bean and cheese. Next time if I'm looking for a quick, cheap bite I'll try their quesadilla (which also can come with chicken and other things inside.) They're quick, friendly and won't break the bank. Give it a try!

Super tiny, unsuspecting restaurant. We had driven by here several times but didn't know what it was exactly. I honestly thought it was some kind of hipster brunch spot. We were in need of a brunch/lunch spot for a meeting and decided to give it a try. Well, to our surprise, it was more of a Mexican diner style restaurant than anything. They do serve breakfast and lunch and the food was really quite tasty. The service was speedy but could have been a bit more friendly. You can definitely tell it is local and family owned as there was a little boy wandering between the kitchen and a back table and he definitely knew his way around. I love seeing this in restaurants because I know I am helping support a local family by choosing to eat here. We will definitely be back and can't wait to try more from the menu.

Gaby needs some more time to sort things out. Soft, undercooked hash browns, mediocre huevos rancheros sauce. The waffle itself was nothing to write home about, and we think the dollop of butter served on top was really margarine. This place is a hard sell, and has some serious competition in a whole other league on San Francisco Street.

HORRIBLE. Server forgot about the drinks we ordered. I go back in 20 minutes later and ask about our drinks and she said "oh can you tell me what you ordered again". Completely forgot. Takes her another 10 minutes to bring us our drinks. Then forgets to bring the creamer out for the coffee we ordered. So had to wait another 5 minutes for that. I ordered a 4 dollar apple juice and as we were leaving I asked for a refill, apparently they don't do refills for apple juice. Food was alright nothing great. I wouldn't waste your money or time here. They need to hire servers that know how to serve people!

Great breakfast spot! I had the chicken & waffles. The breast was the perfect size and the wallet was sooooo fluffy. I should have gotten a side of bacon because it looked amazing. It couldn't believe how thick it was. I had mimosas for $3 as well. The drink menu was a nice touch. Service was prompt and thorough. I will definitely be back and this time I will get that bacon!

The service was average . Very nice interior nice outdoor seating area. The servers were friendly however it was quite the wait and only a couple of people in the restaurant. If the service was faster it would have gotten four stars. The food besides the pancakes were tasty the pancakes had a sour almost vinegar like taste to them. The burrito have avocado in it was a great touch it's always nice to not pay extra for avocado.

Carmel's is a great place for breakfast in downtown Flagstaff. The restaurant is small and cozy with a retro feel. The staff are helpful and friendly. I love the waffles and the Eggs Benedict Florentine.
