I have been coming to this restaurant for several years and have been happy. Today, I was utterly disappointed in the quality, quantity, taste, and lack of appearance of my lunch. I asked the waitress if there has been a change in cooks, management, and she stated there has not been. I will not be returning after 18 years of coming and bringing others! Totally disappointed

The food was delicious ! I modified my sushi I got the tootsie roll and asked for it deep fried with spicy mayo and it was delicious ? the atmosphere is cozy and nice to being family and friends. I love the music they play. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Would recommend ?❤️

The food is good, the atmosphere is lacking but let me tell you... I'm leaving this review solely based on the take out/hostess staff. Not confirming orders in their system, making up time estimates that are not correct, reading and re-reading tickets and still getting confused, telling me my order is ready and then it's not. This was a joke. Ordering in advance was a waste of time since I sat there for 40 min waiting. Not a single acknowledgment or apology. I won't be ordering from here again.

I love the food at both locations... But this last time we went, the service was so/so. Still the best sushi in town and you must try the Agedashi Tofu, it's divine! ?

Was there for lunch. Guy was going through his phone before sticking in his pocket then without washing, started cutting up big sides of what looked like tuna. I know there is so much bacteria on your phone and you're handling food without gloves. I'm glad the other guy made my role.

Sakana has really stepped up it's game. A few years back they slipped just a little, but now, WOW! They're back to being my absolute favorite in the north valley. Great food, great chefs, great ambience, and especially great value. I can't recommend them enough. Hat's off to the crew!

We have been going to the Ahwatukee Sakana for years so we are well versed in what Sakana has to offer. We ordered our favorites and unfortunately they just aren't as good at this location. One item i noticed that was unusually out of sorts was the salmon nigiri....very very fishy. Had to bathe the second piece in soy to cover up the fishiness. We just happened to be on that side of town and thought we'd grab some sushi. Never been there before and will be going to the Ahwatukee location in the future. This location just didn't live up to what we have come to expect at other Sakana locations.
