Every other visit has been lovely, this visit was just average. It was extremely loud to where you had to yell to hear each other. The 1st cup of salsa was excellent, but the second had less flavor and was alot spicier. I guess it was just an off night for them.

I paid $80+ (100+ with tip) for TWO margaritas and 2 vegetarian meals. Absolutely crazy prices, I will never go here again for that reason alone. I do not understand their prices at all, the food and drinks are decent but do not justify the prices. I couldn’t tell you the last time I paid that much money for 2 drinks and 2 meals..

Ever i could give 0 stars i would. Ever since they moved their food sucks. We asked since they moved if it they had new owners and they said it was still the same ones. We took our daughter here for her Birthday at her husband's request. What a big mistake it was. My daughters taco and enchilada plate was horrible the enchilada sauce is very mild abd tastes like tomato only. Their shredded beef tacos were full of grissel and fat. My $25.50 fajitas burrito was horrible tasteless and full of grisselly fatty meat. My son in law ordered fajitas for $28.50 was the same and the shrimp and food was way over cooked. My husband's super burrito was the same. His shredded beef was tough and grisselly a fatty. Even the salsa sucked.
We spoke to the owner and server to complain. Talk about insulting they credited 15% off our meals, less including our sodas for a whole $6.60 this is found very insulting. They should have at least credited 50% of our meals considering we all barley ate anything and our plates were still almost full. I didnt even eat but a couple bites of my chicken tortillas soup. It was the worse I've ever eaten.
The server never apologized either nor did the owner and considering my husband and I are seniors plus he's retired from the military they charge alot and dont offer senior or military discounts either. Even their sodas cost almost $5 per soda.
Big hugh mistake coming here and we were so unhappy with our meals that I forgot to tell them that it was our daughters 51st Birthday.
DONT GO HERE PEOPLE...YES THEY HAVE FLAMING MARGARITAS but they suck also and cost almost $20. Per margarita.

El Paraiso Mexican in Lake Havasu is a true hidden gem — vibrant, festive, and overflowing with authentic flavor. The décor is full of Mexican charm, and I sat in a cozy booth with a glass-topped table that showed off beautiful hand-painted designs underneath. The glass slides a little, but once the food hits the table, that detail fades into the background.

They start you off with chips, salsa, and refried beans that are next-level — smooth, rich, and full of flavor that tastes like it’s made with beef stock. Those beans are so good they could be a meal on their own. I ordered the fajita mix with grilled chicken and carne asada, and when it came out, it wasn’t just sizzling — it was literally flaming. Real flames dancing off the skillet, smoke rolling up with that amazing grilled aroma. I’ve had plenty of fajitas before, but never ones that arrived on fire. It was dramatic, fun, and completely unexpected — like dinner and a show all in one. The chicken was juicy, the steak was perfectly marinated, and every bite carried that smoky, fire-kissed flavor that only comes from serious kitchen skill.

The plate came loaded with pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, Spanish rice, and more of those amazing refried beans — the perfect balance of spice, freshness, and comfort. The homemade tortillas were soft, warm, and had that unmistakable flavor of something rolled out by hand just minutes before.

Happy hour is where things get fun. Margaritas are just six bucks — and they come flaming too! Real fire on top of your drink, and it’s not just for show. The mix tastes homemade, perfectly balanced, and smooth without that artificial sweet-and-sour flavor. My server, Antonio, was handling a full section but still managed to keep everyone happy. He even gave me a heads-up when happy hour was about to end, and you better believe I said yes to another round.

Then came the soup — the chicken tortilla soup that tasted like it came straight out of mama’s kitchen. You can almost picture her in the back, apron on, up since 5 AM letting that broth slow cook in a pressure pot until every bit of flavor came together. The broth was deep and rich, the chicken tender, the tortillas perfectly softened, and every spoonful tasted alive with freshness. It’s the kind of soup that makes you close your eyes for a second because it hits that homemade comfort note perfectly.

Between the flaming fajitas and margaritas, the incredible service, and the kind of food that feels like it was made with heart and history, El Paraiso Mexican easily earns a spot in my Lake Havasu favorites. Everything here tastes like care — like family cooking done right.

The service was good but 2 tacos, a small thing of rice, and a bowl of beans for $22 is way to expensive for the quality of food. Also the vegetable melody tasted like old frozen vegetables. And the fish from the tacos was flavorless.

Service was super slow. Granted our server had a huge 15-20 top table but I feel like they could have assigned somebody else to our table if she was too in the weeds. Other than that, the food was great. It just took a long time to get to us.

First time trying the new location and can’t say I’m impressed. It is a beautiful building but it doesn’t excuse the crazy price increases. Service was extremely slow, waited over an hour to get our food. We had two interactions with our waitress; when she took our order and gave us the check. She did inform us that a tip was already included. The food itself wasn’t bad but not as good as I remember it, and with the price increase ($18.15 to $25?) it unfortunately is not worth it. Won’t be back again, and so sad to say that because they use to be our favorite.
