Next door to the post office. Fast service and the Cuban sandwich was excellent. A bit less mustard maybe, depending on your preference. I would have included a picture but I ate it too fast. Beets and feta made a good side also.

Fancy? NO. Delicious? Absolutely. I'm not much of a fan of paying for fancy, but I'll pay for delicious all day long. At Cindi's suggestion I had the Happy Jack breakfast sandwich and my wife had the veggie scramble. I can't say enough about had good my sandwich was and my wife said the same about her scramble. I had a lot of fun looking at the menu. Every time I found something that I thought I would order I would see something else and change my mind. I think there are huge possibilities for what to order on future visits.

It looks like no one has posted a menu in a good while. Based on the menus posted, even if they were dated, I thought we'd take the extra drive to give it a try. Prices have gone way up like everyone else. But for the money not sure its a bargain anymore. Eggs, no meat ($6.99) breakfast for me. Wife had a side of 4 bacon ($4.49) and taters ($2.99, she doesn't eat eggs). She also had coffee ($2.75) and toast $2.29). The bill was $25 with tip. Bacon was decent. Eggs pretty good quality. Toast was not so good. Small and thin. Potatoes were great. Coffee was good. The ladies were wonderfully friendly and attentive. The restaurant is next door to a city office so they have regulars in and out. Its clean and comfortable. If I go back I would try the burritos. They seem to be popular.

This is the kind of "hidden gem" that makes it away from you and you only know about based on either word of mouth or you just know it's there. Rendezvous is a hat-tip to the ol' Mom-and-Pop cafes that have a great owner who cares about the local town. Filled with all the things that indicate the key ingredient is love, Rendezvous is a great stop for a morning burrito or an afternoon sandwich! Highly recommended.
