So read some reviews on this place, had mixed feelings. Not sure who writes and complains about the food and service. The place is very clean, the staff are friendly,l and the food is delicious. It’s not a 5 star sit down place, rather a cozy cafe for your belly. I absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back! Спасибо за вкусный ужин!

The portions are very small. No normal restaurant can compare with this. She always came out of the restaurant well-fed and satisfied. I'm hungry here. The waiter did not even offer water again, but already took the tip for himself 18%.. I won't come again.

I ordered the Manti. It was delicious. I want to come back and try more dishes. I was the only customer in the restaurant at 6:30 pm but it was a Monday. Give ot a try..

Finally made it to Cafe Chanar in the neighborhood. It is a Kosher Bukarian (Uzbek) restaurant. Have looked over the menu many times and a few dishes looked familiar. Saw my Yelp Buddy Mitchell was previously here and took his advice on the onion bread. The place was empty in the mid afternoon on Sunday so took my time. The server made some suggestions and was spot on. I ordered the cabbage rolls and a Bojon Salad made of roasted eggplant and garlic served cold with some parsley. The onion bread was exceptional and flakey. Could have made a very happy meal with the Bojon and Onion Bread, but then came the cabbage rolls that were steaming hot. They were made of diced meat and savory rice wrapped in cabbage leaves. Overall, a very satisfying meal with leftovers to go. Yelp has a 10 per cent off coupon on the App. Put this one on your list.

This place is rated one of the best for Jewish food on Phoenix. We did a sampling of 5 dishes recommended by the server. All had wonderful flavors which we raved about for the rest of the day. If you have the chance, please give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

The best place in Phoenix I was looking for a good Authentic place and see this guy's on Google so I gave them a try came there by myself got the uzbek plov and the lagman soup. Absolutely the best food ever so much flavor. Then had to bring my wife here she loved it. Also brought all my friends here the service was great and all the food was on point would definitely be coming back here ?

We were told this was a very good ethnic restaurant. Love ethnic! Sorry to say things went off the rails in quick order. Two of us order the borscht and our friend ordered the shurpa. We then ordered lamb kebobs, onion bread, roasted eggplant and a pot of hot tea. Ten minutes after we placed our order, we were told "no borscht". So we substituted with the shurpa. The bread appeared first, I don't eat bread so I waited for my soup. And I waited and I waited. The eggplant salad appeared and I tried it and it was fresh out of the refrigerator. I called the "hostess" over and said the eggplant is very cold. Her answer was" it's supposed to be cold". I said" it is refrigerator cold, not room temp". I know it should be not hot, but not ice cold. Could not eat it as there was nothing to eat with it or smear on. Soup arrived and it was very mediocre with a few vegetables and a lamb bone with little meat. The lamb skewers had three very tough and three medium tough chunks of lamb. I was not about to order more or anything because at that point I had loss all confidence with this place. I left very hungry. This person representing the restaurant could not have cared less about making our experience pleasant and educational. It's too bad because we were very eager and open for a new experience. The front person can make or break the place. Having worked with the public for decades, I know this it so important to make people want to come back. Oh by the way the check came to over $75.00. That's a bag of groceries in today's supermarkets. The owner, if they care, need to have a severe discussion with the front and the kitchen.

One of our favorite restaurants! Good Plov and Shashlik. We always order a lot of dishes because they are all authentic and tasty and good - healthy too! Chicken tabac is good too! Liver shashlik is always done right too! If you don't know what Uzbek food is - you'll be living it I think :)

Run from this place! Service is bad, food is expensive, tip is included in the bill and hidden so you pay double tips and get out hungry. Never come back and no hope for this poor cafe.

I like the foods. It’s really tasty and flavor really good. Not too spicy or not less. Try the beef lulya and soups are really tasty.
