Best bagels in town! The jalapeño cheddar with bacon and cream cheese breakfast bagel is my favorite.The coffee has not been so great unfortunately. Since the new year it has been either too sweet or watered down most of the time, been coming for almost 2 years and lately it’s been a disappointment.

I absolutely adore this place—it's truly one-of-a-kind, as it's housed in an old gas station that's been wonderfully transformed into a charming café! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a unique vibe that sets it apart.Every aspect, from the welcoming staff to the diverse drink options, contributes to the overall greatness of this establishment. Not only does it offer a fantastic culinary experience, but it's also a proud supporter of LGBTQ spaces.The matcha and chai here are simply divine, some of the best I've had in Arizona. And let's not forget about the inviting outdoor patio, providing a shaded oasis that perfectly complements the chill ambiance of the space.The staff are incredibly friendly, and I appreciate the option to either be served at my table or to go up and order. It's clear that this café is not just a place to grab a drink—it's a community hub that fosters warmth, inclusivity, and exceptional taste.

The coffee and tea’s are so delicious, breakfast sandwiches, bodega bagels w/ options of bagel flavors, and tasty lunch sandwiches I’ve honestly yet to be let down by them! Love the displays and art they have in the shop and look forward to trying out some pastries!!

I went here during a trip, and I found that the food was good but the coffee was not. Additionally, there isn’t enough group seating in this coffee shop.The Frankenstein bagel was absolutely delicious though.
March 2024 update - after nearly two decades, Copper Star continues to captivate a great crowd with excellent coffee , house made bagels, house made cookies, breads, scones and most excellent coffee and tea it's crew is amazing. Jan 2023 update...still amazing after all these years great service, great food ...2022 update- Copper Star made it through the madness of COVID. It was to keep the coffee and treats flowing, but also has introduced amazing scratch made bagels...a true treat. It is still Great as always with amazing coffee and tea beverages and fresh made sweet treats and occasionally even my favorite old school molasses cookies....June 2022 update, amazing experience the last two days, the case was full of goodies, the bagels we're excellent, the tea and coffee suburb. If you time.it right you can eat bagels being had crafted...Copper Star still holds the "Best overall Coffee shop in Phoenix for me" October 2022 update still the best of Phoenix in my eye, great treats, excellent service....
Great place for coffee. It's a mom and pop's shop. I usually get the Cubano. It's a great cup of coffee. I have also had their begals. They are really good. Drive thru or stop by.
