Incredibly poor customer service from the manager. Another worker accidentally charged us $25 and when the manager, who we had been standing and waiting for, finally arrived she actually tried to make it seem as if the business had credited us $25 when it was obvious on both sides that this was not the case. Even tried to get security involved and spin the whole situation around on us. Fortunately, the owner eventually gave us our refund but such disappointing and downright rude customer service.

Pure Gelato is located right inside the Paradise Valley Mall. It is right next to the food court.

Pure Gelato is located right inside the Paradise Valley Mall. It is right next to the food court. Before buying any gelato from this place, I'd encourage you to look inside the glass and you can see why you shouldn't buy anything from here. The gelato inside the cooler is not turned on high enough. The temperature is set too low and the gelato just keeps melting. That means you end up eating gelato that's been frozen, melted, frozen, melted, etc. Does not taste good at all.

I try to be pretty understanding when it comes to customer service issues in food places, but this place was awful. I went with a friend of mine and ordered a frapacino while she tried samples. It took the man working the counter extra time to even acknowledge us because he was so openly fixated on his phone. The coffee I was given took almost 5 minutes to make, cost almost $5, and consisted entirely of foam with no actual coffee to be found. Saw him go back to his phone again before even looking up at the line that had formed behind me. To be fair, I've heard that the gelato is good if overpriced. But I won't be back regardless.

A group of us eat at the mall food court for lunch a couple of times a week, and every once in awhile I look over at the promise of all the good stuff, and head over to get some frozen yogurt after lunch. I would like to thank the staff for keeping me in shape! Each and every time I have gone to attempt and order something, nobody is around, and nobody comes around by the time that little window of time where sense tells you that you shouldn't end lunch with an extra 1,000 calories of sugar and fat. To date, I have not yet been successful in ordering anything at all from this place, and only continue to try out of curiosity. I can't see any place to take naps behind the counter, and the guys that just walk around and flirt with the girls at the weird lotion kiosk are usually visible. This leaves only two options: the person who is supposed to be on duty behind the counter is either the dirty guy that hangs out in the bathroom and sometimes doesn't have pants on, or Puro Gelato is run by inter-dimensional ghosts that can only take orders via manipulating gravity in the 5th dimension. I will buy Interstellar the moment is it available, to learn secrets and hope to eventually order yogurt from this place.

I discovered gelato after moving here a year ago, and have had it from several places around the valley. We tried Puro Gelato for its convenience to where we were at the time. Overall, I feel it's pretty average as far as gelato goes. What they had was good, but the selection was much smaller than several of the other places we've been to in the area. They have the basics and a few specialty flavors. Being in the food court it's also very noisy, and we had to repeat our order several times before they got it right. It's not bad, but definitely not my favorite.

I love Gelato! But I didn't even get to try this place. I went to Paradise Valley Mall this past week and I waited around for 15 minutes with another person in line but no one was there to help us. There was no sign (like "be back in 10 minutes") and yes, I was there during their business hours. We both ended up leaving, disappointed. What a bummer! Hopefully next time someone is actually working there.

Ordered a Gelato shake with chocolate and pistachio. Young man working seemed surprised and had to consult a book for recipe. He put one scoop each flavor innto blender, a giant scoop of ice and a bit of milk (or cream?). I questioned the ice and he said that's how they are supposed to be made. Needless to say the mixture was chunky and icy and he had a hard time getting it out of the blender. Icy & tastless. Will not go back

This place has a good selection of gelato and sorbet and they will even make smoothies out of them if you want. Customer service could be a bit friendlier but all and all I love it cause the deserts.

This cute little Gelato stand is right before you enter the Food Court at Paradise Valley Mall. I think it's in that location on purpose, because what kid can resist looking past the Ice Cream. This Gelato stand has all your necessary favorites as well as a few "exotic" flavors. All the flavors are clearly marked and it cold case is super clean. I was with a kid that wanted Vanilla and we shared, so didn't go on the limb there, However you can mess up vanilla. It tasted homemade with real vanilla flavor and non of the silly coloring.

On the days when I pick up my daughter from North Phoenix, we typically go for ice cream of some sort. More often than not, we end up at Desert Ridge Mall, where we encounter Puro Gelato. The selection is good, having at least 20 different flavors of gelato/sorbet. The portions are nice, as well. We never get more than a small (one scoop), though they do have four different sizes. Compared to other gelatos I've sampled, Puro's is decent. It is definitely delicious. It's extremely light and fluffy...though, it's not as thick as some of the confections at other places we've sampled. If you're at Desert Ridge and you're looking for a decent frozen treat, you should try Puro Gelato. It's by far the best option from which to choose at the mall.

Very yummy gelato...best part was that they had a larger than normal selection of sorbets. We had tangerine pineapple and it was delicious! It's in Paradise Valley mall, next to the food court. They also have a punch card, so if you're a regular over this direction, get a punch card so you can get free gelato!
