El Patron Mexican Grill

We do recommend El Patron but we had a bad experience recently. My wife and I picked up an order to go consisting of Chicken flautas and Enchilada a La Crema chicken. We had to throw everything in the trash because the entire order tasted like fish. It was absolutely disgusting and very disappointing because we have had good food there before. In fact, El Patron is normally our go to in Pinetop. Luckily, we only ate a small amount and did not get sick.

I was very pleasantly surprised that this place was really, really good!! Didn't see much of the restaurant because we just went to one side and sat. The server was very attentive and took our order right away and the food came out hot... but the real test was the BEANS! I kind of judge Mexican food restaurants by their beans, and these refried beans were awesome! The rice was about as good as Spanish rice can be, but man, those beans were the bomb! Cheese enchilada was a really nice size, and it was real cheese!!! Overall, would I go back? HANDS DOWN....YES! I was very limited as to what I was able to eat for medical reasons but I can say I will DEFINITELY be back!! Thanks for a good lunch!!!

Happened upon this place when the Den told us food was 1 hour plus out. The food and service was excellent. Highly recommend the beef fajitas, 10 out of 10!

We landed at this place on accident and it was so great. The service staff was wonderful and very accommodating. We all had steak fajitas and the meat was amazing! The only thing we would change it that there is no music playing - which would totally help the vibe. Otherwise we loved our experience and are going back for our sons birthday!

An absolute gem hidden in plain view. The food is great and it is family run. The care about the food quality is superb and a place I would recommend to family and friends.

I could see this place being slow if they are busy but we found it just perfect! The hospitality and home cooking is spot on. The prices and portions are perfect! Simple straight forward classic cantina type place. Family run and really homey. And they have the dbacks game on!

We ordered the chicken and steak fajitas and cheese enchilada with beans and rice. The fajitas were delicious. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Onions and peppers were on par. Probably the best fajitas that I have had.

I ordered the 7 mares. If you are a seafood fan and have never had this soup. You are missing out. Patron NAILED IT! Not too many places can say that. Service could use a little work.bwe had to ask for refills on a couple occasions. I do plan on returning while visiting my friend again!
