Very disappointed in the food. Ribs were very dry and the pulled pork flavor was not on point. Seem like very nice people- I think they can (and should) do better.

Stopped in less than an hour ago to grab dinner and was really excited to try a local spot. Walked in the place was empty and I didn't smell any food which should have been my first red flags. The woman that took my order seemed very sweet. I ordered the Catfish Dinner with baked beans and cole slaw, 1/4lb "pulled chicken", 1/4 lb brisket and a side of mac-n-cheese, for each. Got the food home and I am sooo disappointed. The mac and cheese is like paste and has zero flavor, the chicken is not pulled or shredded as I expected. It's chicken pieces and it is also very bland, and the baked beans are like what you get out of a can. The brisket was ok. Somewhat juicy but not super flavorful. The catfish was the best thing. Hot, breaded nicely and cooked perfectly. I almost didn't trust eating it because everything else was so disgusting... I spent $76 for hot bbq sauce, 1/4lb of brisket and 2 pieces of catfish.. DON'T do it.... :-(

I had just arrived from California and was excited to try out this spot, I look it up and it Says they open till 9pm. I show up at 8 sharp and they’re closed but their sign still says open. Very disappointed

Please don’t bother stopping here
I love bbq and go to many places to try and this was by far the worst in my opinion. Sadly was very disappointed especially for the pricing. The older gentleman that took our order was the only thing that made me smile while I was there. Brisket dry clearly made in an oven.
Fry’s unseasoned clearly made from a grocery bought bag.
BBQ sauce is just sweet baby rays.
Not impressed and honestly feel ripped off. Make sure u read the reviews because we surely should have.

This is NOT a paid review. This place is more of a lounge and blues music spot than a BBQ spot. Sure, they serve items that are found on a BBQ menu, but that's where the similarities end. Brisket tasted like roast. Hot link was basic. Ribs were very overdone. Mac & Cheese is the standard cafeteria style. All the proteins came out cold. Service on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm was subpar at best. I doubt there is any type of smoke producing device on site. My guess is everything done in a commercial oven and not even exposed to a hand held smoke machine. If you are looking for bbq it is safe to pass. If you are looking for live music and maybe a drink this might be a spot to stop.

Ribs that fall off the bone, Mac & cheese skillet w/ pulled pork & jalapeno bacon bits, brisket, fried catfish, fried okra and I can go on as they were all next level!

Also, the sauces were excellent especially if you like the hot one but my favorite was the House Bold Bourbon which was smooth, mild, light smoke, and a touch of bourbon.

As great as the food was, the live jazz and blues was off the chain, especially when Joe can make it out from the kitchen.

A must stop for anyone that enjoys good food, great people, and a chill vibe!!!

Wow one of the best BBQ finds of the century! You will not believe their brisket, I mean heaven. They have great pulled pork , also they have a unique touch on fries yum yum, the drinks are definitely not light on the liquor, so tea toddlers beware! And the big plus is the music if u like jazz, swing, big band, r&b and from what I'm told live on wkends ! Real comfortable, casual hangout . They also have a patio to enjoy the food, cocktails and music on a nice day or night. I must admit I have only been there 4 times since they reopened with the new owners but they have only been open for 3 maybe 4 weeks so that says it all. My new fav place for well...everything! Really worth the trip and the price is reasonable.

I want the world to burn.

As long as you're a nice person, you will get nice food. Probably some of the best BBQ I've had, and that's saying quite a bit. I have been to over two dozen different BBQ restaurants around the city I live in, and this little shack happens to rank third all around, and second when it comes to the people inside.

The servicing is nice, I've never had an argument, and although I've only been twice, both times have loaded my plate with a hefty sterving of cornbread, and well around two pounds of very good food. Juicy, tender, and waiting to be eaten, whatever they put on the plate will be wonderful.

Moreover, the atmosphere is simply amazing. It's filled with just about everything a fan of BBQ, Jazz, Rock, and Blues could hope for. Not even expanding upon the wall of guitars, the folks in there will often play easy listening music at various times of the day. Whether a band is in there or not, I can almost guarantee a fun time.

Come as you will to the Arizona BBQ Shack, it's a good place with good people. ((And, if you're lucky, they might even sneak you an extra slice of brisket ;) ))

I celebrated my birthday and had the best time at Arizona BBQ. The food was delicious, the entertainment was excellent. Chef Joe made it feel like we were all family. We will be back!
