The good reviews that have been posted are correct. This is our first time we have ate dinner here. We were there for our wedding anniversary.
The waiter and staff are excellent. The food was excellent and plentiful. We took more than half our meal home and left stuffed.
For us this a great place for a special occasion.

Service is Excellent! Food is good a bit over priced. We do enjoy the atmosphere the only down side is the men’s restroom is always in use.

Well, this is a gem. Underground restaurant that feels like having dinner at the heart of a boat. Ceiling are low and almost no light, walls full with art and super nice crew all making sure you are having a good time. The oysters were super fresh and tasty. Recommended!
Price was fair for such a fresh see food in the middle of the desert 🏜.
Plenty of parking and right on Hayden.

Always an amazing time here. So wonderful to get Maine lobster out here in the desert. This east coast girl is a happy one.

Two of us ordered the bay scallops, they looked unappetizing, they were coated in something & were set on oily greens, the taste of the actual scallop was good but the preparation was underwhelming. Not what I would expect for $65.00 The other two ordered the stuffed lobster which had this thick gross coating of ritz crackers. One was overcooked & the other again underwhelming. Need a new chef, bad recipes. Haven’t been there in awhile & won’t be going back. Disappointed. The waiter was very good.

This is old school luxury. Food is good, service is great. Happy hour is one of the best deals in town for great seafood, in a cool environment. However it is small.

Tried to order one item togo an hour before close and was strongly discouraged to do so and made me feel like a burden for asking. ( was one jalapeño popper btw). I’m a regular in the neighborhood and sadly do not think I’ll be returning. I would maybe re think the late night happy hours and staff working them.
Hope this information helps others!

I literally had the best birthday ever. We started with the scallops and the escargot, super yum. They were kind enough to make me a virgin pina colada also yum (being pregnant and all!) then we both ordered the baked stuffed lobster. Sooooooo delicious! Melt in your mouth good. Even the baked potato was amazing! Angela was the absolute sweetest and best and made us feel right at ease!! Cracking our lobster like a pro! The ambiance was amazing, the best candle lit dinner I have probably ever had. The place isn’t super big so make sure you make a reservation! The manager was very kind when my whole party didn’t show up. 20/10! We will definitely be back. Oh! Also my birthday dessert was so good. Snickers cheesecake! Yum. Portions were huge we definitely brought some home. Thank you Salt Cellar for making my birthday memorable!

Unfortunately this experience was not a good one. I’ve wanted to visit this restaurant for over a year. I was finally able to visit it last night and it was a huge letdown. The steak my date order was completely inedible, it was charred black and had absolutely so flavor(even after salting it to death). The stuffed baked lobster was also completely tasteless, and had none of the natural sweetness that usually comes with lobster. We left 90% of the steak and 50% of the lobster dish on the table when we left. The server was very nice, however it took over an hour to get our food and he was basically missing the whole dinner. The table of four that sat next to us, literally got salad, apps, and their main course before we got anything, it was crazy. I was kinda embarrassed that I had taken a date there, especially because I kinda talked it up and being a staple in Scottsdale!!! We seriously considered going straight to another restaurant to eat again, but that would have been another high cost dinner, no one wants to spend $500 for basically one dinner!!!

I ordered the fresh oysters and the New England clam chowder. The food was excellent and flavorful. The pieces of clam in the chowder were large and free of sand. The service was also great and attentive. I like the way the restaurant is downstairs (like a cellar). It made the atmosphere fitting for seafood. Like the galley of a wooden ship.
