Went there for a birthday and the experience was amazing. Sat on the patio and had the best pasta and wine. We reminded ourselves that we need to go more often. James our server was exceptional.

This was our first 1st and definitely will not be our last visit! Our waiter was delightful! Extremely knowledgeable on all wines, and every dish on the menu. We ordered the Italian daughter salad, very refreshing and definitely enough to share! I ordered the Scallops and risotto. Very fresh and cooked perfect! My husband or the seafood with squid ink pasta. The freshness of the seafood was outstanding! Dessert....Well.....The tarimasu was not overly soaked and was very refreshing and light, this was paired well with a port and a toasted almond martini (a special request from me and the bartender nailed it!) Can't wait to go back

We decided to have a light dinner before going to a concert nearby the restaurant. The service we received was outstanding especially since we were on a timeline. There were three of us and two of us ordered "appetizers" and one of us ordered a goat/beet salad. It was suggested that she add a piece of salmon to that salad. All three dishes were more than ample and we went home with doggy bags. My husband ordered the calamari and I had a small "Sicilian" salad and Squash Blossoms. Truly the amount of food could have fed six people. Everything was delicious, no complaints at all. We were very happy with service, food and value.

We had a wonderful meal at The Italian Daughter! Our server was very helpful in making menu suggestions since this was our first visit. We started with the beet salad and caesar salad. Both were fresh and delicious. The wine selection was good and we found a California pinot noir which paired beautifully with our chicken marsala, lasagne and squash stuffed pasta. The lasagna which is made with a béchamel sauce versus ricotta cheese was served with a house made meatball that perfectly completed the dish. They had a musician playing background music which added to the ambience. Definitely will return with friends during the holidays!

Having dined here several times, I can confidently say this restaurant continues to impress where it matters most — the food. Each visit reaffirms its standing as a place that knows how to deliver bold, authentic flavors and a well-balanced dining experience. On my most recent visit, every dish from our table was spot-on, beautifully prepared, and deeply satisfying. The kitchen remains the restaurant’s strongest asset — consistently turning out vibrant, flavorful plates that celebrate Italian cuisine without pretense. The cocktails arrived promptly and were well-crafted, setting the tone for an enjoyable meal. The wine list deserves a special nod: it offers a thoughtful selection of Italian wines that are both excellent and reasonably priced — a rarity that regulars will appreciate. Ambiance can vary depending on the night. At times, the tables feel a bit tightly packed, and the noise level can climb higher than comfortable. This visit, however, was more balanced — the addition of live music created a warm, convivial atmosphere, and conversation flowed easily. Service, unfortunately, remains the restaurant’s weakest link. Our server spoke so quickly that explanations about the menu were rushed and unclear, and attention throughout the meal was uneven. While this lack of polish doesn’t overshadow the exceptional kitchen, it does detract from what could otherwise be a near-perfect dining experience. In short, come for the food — it’s worth it. The culinary team continues to deliver excellence on the plate, making this a restaurant that earns repeat visits. But with a bit more focus on service refinement, it could elevate from “very good” to truly outstanding. Bottom Line: ⭐ Food: 9/10 – Consistently excellent, authentic, and flavorful 🍷 Drinks: 8.5/10 – Strong cocktails and a well-priced Italian wine list 🎶 Ambiance: 8/10 – Lively, sometimes loud, but charming with live music 💁 Service: 6.5/10 – Rushed and inattentive; room for improvement 💰 Overall Value: 8.5/10 – Excellent food at fair prices Verdict: Go for the cuisine — and hope the service soon matches the kitchen’s brilliance.

We went to the Italian daughter, not knowing what to expect. It is the absolute best Italian food I've had since moving to Phoenix. Scallop appetizer had an original and wonderful flavor. Meat salad was excellent, and our dinners were great.!!!

Amazing, high-end experience! It was my partner's birthday and they made sure it was a special night. Calm atmosphere with warm lighting. Delicious apps, squid ink pasta, seafood, and veal parmesan- all of it! And Nutella pizza with fresh berries for dessert- OMG! Moderately priced, not outrageous at all. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a fancy night out!

We have been lucky to live nearby and have been frequent diners here back to when it was Tomasso's and always have fantastic meals. Last night I had a new dish, chicken Marsala with wild mushroom ravioli. It was so delicious, chicken was extremely tender, sauce great flavors, the ravioli was under the chicken breasts, and they had a great taste! My dining partner had his favorite, spaghetti carbonara with pancetta and peas. We always take home enough to have a great lunch! Service is always top drawer, very attentive and friendly!

From our entrance into the restaurant until our exit after our dining experience, everything was excellent. We were seated immediately. Water was on our table almost before we sat down. Server was at our table in two minutes. Bread with dipping oil was also prompt. Our glasses of wine also delivered promptly. Meatball s for an appetizer were big enough for a meal and delicious. My chicken marsala was the BEST I ever tasted. My wife enjoyed her scallops with risotto very much but would have preferred the scallops cooked a little more. We were too full for dessert but took home a cannoli and tiramisu - both fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a couple or a friends dinner party. Also live music made it an even more enjoyable evening. Primo!

We were visiting Scottsdale and found this gem. Fabulous food and great service. Manager was actively involved and kept a busy restaurant flowing very well. We will definitely be back.

Food was good, not as fabulous as my last visit. Probably, my choice of the fish of the day. Service was very good. Noise level was too noisy for my taste.

Outstanding meal and service. Brought me back to the amazing food of my childhood. My mom was an amazing Sicilian cook and I’ve never had Linguine Vongole ( linguini and clams) like my mom’s until tonight. Even the eggplant Rollatini was just like my mom’s. My husband said how it tasted like he was back eating in Brooklyn NY. His veal parm and side penne alla vodka were delicious. Then of course I had to have cannoli, which was perfect. We’d eat here every night if we lived closer. Thank goodness we don’t! Lovely decor, live music in the background. Great experience overall. Our server was absolutely the best. We will be back when in Scottsdale.
