Honestly, I wasn't planning on getting food this morning, but I had an hour to burn, so I stopped by, and I'm glad I did. Friendly service, helpful, and it gave me a nostalgic vibe of Chicago (best parts).

My 1st time we where going to dine in but it was so hot in there we got our food to go. It's a heat wave fix that Ac.. My bun was hard and they have regular size hot dogs for the price the chili was good. The burger was good and had good seasonings, would try this location again.

Absolute disaster! Was just there with 2 friends, it's 111 degrees outside, and they didn't have AC. After ordering, paying $52 plus tip, I asked them to turn on the AC. NO, IT'S BROKEN. We all threw our meals away, as it was too hot to eat. $52 dollars in the trash, and we left lightheaded. Why are you operating without AC? This place should be ashamed to call themselves a legit business. So folks, if you want to feel like you're dining in Calcutta, save the airfare and go to Coney Grill.

Just a cheap coney with a high price. Tried to justify a tough wiener by saying it was “shipped directly from Chicago “. Really tasted like it was from a backyard bbq. Prices on the menu were higher than listed online. The restaurant was hot and filled with the smokey smell of old grease. Needless to say I won’t be going back. The gentleman was very kind tho. That was the only plus.

Love the Michigan atmosphere, the snap of the Vienna when you bite into your Coney. If you're from Detroit you don't need to ask how you want it cuz you know that's how it's going to be. It's always sweet to grab a faygo and say what up Doe!

*i did not take pictures, but i should have!*I was excited to take my daughter here, based on several reviews, and the fact that she LOVES hot dogs. Bad idea. We went around 5pm, and im certain what we got served had been laying around for a while. Ordered plain dog, a coney, sm fries, and onion rings, with a fountain drink.Place was NOT very clean.Bathroom was worse.Smelled like someone was smoking INSIDE. Seriously, idk where it was coming from, but it was BAD.Back door was OPEN. (That's a critical violation, btw.)Came back from bathroom, then hit the soda fountain, and looked in the kitchen...Hot dogs on the flat top, (i thought they were ours; NOPE!)Ours were already on the counter!Saw piles of cooked fries sitting on counter, in a bus tub. I know about blanching fries, but they should NOT be out on a counter, hanging out. (And that's where they sat till we left.)They were not fresh, or any good after 30 seconds.My kid's plain dog was wrinkled and dry, and had one char mark down the length of it, like a scar.My dog was the coney, and if someone says they fly in stuff from MI, they're straight lying. That chili was straight from a can.**Onion rings were good**I asked for a receipt, because I wasn't offered one, and was immediately suspicious.I asked if i was charged differently than what's listed on the menu, and was told they increased prices about a week ago, but were still waiting on stickers to update the menu.(Absolutely NOT okay, in my book.)Dude didn't even care, and was totally lackadaisical.You serve subpar food, overcharge knowingly, and HIDE that from customers?!?!(I had told the guy it was our first visit, and we were stoked to try it. He had every opportunity to make a good impression , and be honest.)TOTALLY. BLEW. IT.After that he said i could get my couple bucks back, and i told him don't bother, definitely won't be back for that slop.I even tipped the guy at the outset, because i believe in small business.

Food was good. Great weekday lunch deals! We had chili fries, chili dog and a cheesesteak sandwich. Unfortunately there was no cheese on the cheesesteak so that minused a star. Meat was tasty though. We'll give them another try.

Had the other place around the corners (number one burger in Tempe) burger the day before visiting here-no comparison. Had the Grilled Cheesy Burger and it was about as good as burgers get. Highly recommend!
