When I think Cajun, I think of bold flavors. What we got was very mild, ok food. There was live music on Friday night, but it drowned out any possibility of a conversation. Disappointing, to say the least.

Very friendly service. Good music. Great food. Went here so my daughter could try jambalaya and gumbo (to see which she likes best). Both were very good. Server was attentive but not bothersome. He noticed how much my daughter liked her garlic bread and brought her more without us even asking. Very pleased with the experience. Can't wait to go back and try more.

Ordered voodoo pasta and etouffee. The pasta was not good, thought the sauce would be more Cajun but it was a watered down cream sauce instead. The etouffee was better than the pasta, but didn't have much crawfish tails and were super tiny (smaller than your pinky nail). Probably won't be going back.

Last night went to Voodoo Daddy's for dinner after hiking South Mountain. The bartender was good. A little rusty on his basic drinks but good with the cocktails listed on their cocktail menu. Had the gumbo with dirty rice and added the shrimp. Good food and decent drinks. They had live music (an elderly lady dressed for Christmas playing the organ and singing). Definitely recommend

My family and I came here for my birthday and I was nothing short of astonished. From the waitresses/waiters to the cooks and the live performers, everyone here does their part to make sure your experience is one you won't forget. We had the privilege of being served by Abdul, whose customer service made us feel welcome and excited. And the food was incredible. I had the Voodoo Pasta (see below) while my family had shrimp and catfish platters. Everyone was thoroughly impressed. Will definitely be back. Thanks again to everyone at Voodoo Daddy's who made this birthday a memorable one!

We came here for our son's 18th birthday. He found it on Yelp and wanted to give it a try. This place was Amazing the staff was extremely helpful and nice and the food was outstanding! 6 people in our party and everyone was very happy with the food. We went on a Friday night and the live music was great! Highly recommend!

A taste of New Orleans in Tempe! The hospitality of the staff was great and answered all of our questions about the menu. The food is delicious and was served hot and fresh.

We found this place via Yelp and we are very glad we did!! The restaurant is nice and the staff are very friendly and attentive. There is a full bar and live music on Fridays and Saturdays. We started out with the Garlic Shrimp Bruschetta which was very flavorful and worth the price. For dinner, my wife ordered the Crab Cakes and loved them!! I had the Voodoo Pasta which was excellent and spicy like Cajun cooking should be!! I didn't leave a single speck of leftovers... My Daughter ordered the Cajun Blackened Tilapia which she said was cooked perfectly. For desert, we had Beignets. The only complaint we had was that they were so delicious - we wanted more!! Overall, this is a great place that we will definitely come back to. If you are in the area - or even semi close by - Stop in for a real cajun treat!!

I had been meaning to grab some food from here for awhile but this past weekend I finally had the time to do so. After looking over the dishes I ended up ordering the Jambalaya Chicken for pick up. The order was ready when they said it was going to be and after taking a bite it brought me back to the time that I spent in New Orleans. The rice was perfectly done as was the chicken. It had just the right amount of cajun seasoning and overall was an excellent dish. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and the next time, I need to get the beignets.

Decent flavors; close to authentic. We loved their own Voodoo hot sauce! The staff was excellent despite being short staff. They suggested we come when they have live music typically Friday and Saturday evening and will sure do. ??

Definitely like going here during the late afternoon on weekdays, less crowded and less noisy. The concrete floors amplify the sound.Catfish and dirty rice is the closest to the real thing out in this area I’ve seen so far. My beautiful wife is from Louisiana and she agrees as well.

The food and service was outstanding! The atmosphere was great, the Hurricanes excellent and live music started as we were ending our meal. The fried green tomatoes were very good and the hush puppies and grits were both excellent. Everyone loved their gumbo and jambalaya and I’m still trying to figure out how baked Cajun chicken paired so well with Greek veggies and tzatziki. Beignets were very good. We got them to go and took to a coffee house to have with coffee

Great food and fantastic service! I asked our server if they sell the Voodoo Daddy shirts that the servers wear. Either they don't sell them or they didn't have any. Our fantastic server literally went in the back and changed and gave me the shirt off her back! Awesome place and fantastic servers!

I was wrong! There is somewhere in the Valley to enjoy a well-prepared and the close to authentic Cajun/Creole/Louisiana-style cooking. There are a handful of restos locally spewing their accolades of this extraordinary American cuisine, but few can boast being reasonably and justifiably close! Voodoo does.

Seriously, everything I've tried here is certified Cajun authentic. These meals are some of the most balanced I've ever had in all of AZ. The plate to price ratio is perfect, everything is cooked and/or chilled perfectly, the flavors are amazing. The beignets could be a little thinner (so it's not as doughy on the inside) but that's personal preference, and they still taste great. There's really nothing bad I can say about Voodoo Daddy's. I wish I'd have found them sooner!
