I wasn't impressed at all. The restaurant, lounge were closed. The hot tub was drainedIf there was more than 2 people to a room, you have to pay for breakfast. The room I stayed in was with a suite. The limit I do believe was 4 guests to a room but yet there was only 1 king bed .Went to the front desk asking for a roll away (cot). The girl at the front desk looked totally lost n said they don't have anything like that.So I had to sleep on some sort of chair which was hard as a rock..At the front desk, they had a paper stating the pool hours= in the room they had another paper stating the pool hours and the hours were different. Go figure?????Wasn't happy!! Don't think I'll make a return visit.

We had a pleasant stay there. Camille was very accommodating in booking us. We would definitely recommend this Hotel for a basic stay. It was easy to find despite being tucked away downtown. We came in for a sports tournament. Camille made it the best. Very friendly and kind.

I wanted to stay somewhere near downtown Tucson and didn't expect much. This place is a real gem, it has the old school vibe with newer upgrades. The pool is large, deep and very refreshing, a true oasis. We had our nice breakfast outside in the fresh air courtyard. I will stay again and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Tucson.

Me and my son stayed here. So friendly and the room was amazing. Softest beds. First hotel in ages where the pool was open and the atmosphere was amazing. My son kept saying 5 stars all weekend. It truly was.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. Called to book a room and asked if restaurant was open. Was told it was. We were arriving late and didn't want to have to drive to find a place to eat. When we got there, asked about charging our hybrid car - no place to find a plug-in anywhere. When we asked about food, was advised that the restaurant only served breakfast and it was a buffet. The clerk said that they were going to charge me $100.00 for incidentals. I asked her what that might be given that the restaurant was closed and there wasn't a lounge open. She then said, "Well we just have to charge that in case you damage anything." Ridiculous. Room and hotel is a bit tired and needs a facelift. They installed doorbells on doors and someone rang ours at 1 am. Then the alarm went off at 6 am because maids didn't check to make sure the alarm was off. The location is also a bit of a wreck with closed roads and difficulty negotiating traffic. The room had a small balcony which was nice, but no view at all and it had not been cleaned in some time. Will not be back...

It’s not really clean. Stains are everywhere on the carpet. I found some old food on the chair. The bed was nice and soft, but the sheets and towels were all look just old and worn. The worst part was shower. The shower head was placed really low and no water pressure. After walking around the town and the National park all day I really wanted to get a nice and warm shower, but it was a work to get one. Also, there was no ventilation in the bathroom and the bathroom door was a sliding door and it doesn’t shut completely. The location is good. It’s walkable to some touristic places such as El Charro Mexican restaurant and Old Town Artisans shops.I stayed in a king size bed room and the room was spacious. A/C was working great. It was nice to have essential appliances such as microwave, mini fridge, and hair dryer.I don’t want to pay more than $100 for this place.

After a one night foray at the Red Lion Inn just a stone's throw away, this hotel was many notches above what we experienced. Clean rooms, a beautiful terrasse view of palm trees (felt like a retiree in Florida), adequate night stands and fixtures, a safe car park. At times it seems the other guests' noise of opening/closing doors is loud, but it isn't an issue due to the layout of the room. The heater is a bit loud in the evening. Location is very convenient and walkable; skip their breakfast and support a local business nearby surrounding the Courthouse area. I would stay again.

The lobby of this hotel is very nice. The pictures of the double staircase lead the reserver to believe it is a classy facility of days long past. It really is nothing of the sort. They are renovating the rooms, however. I "think" we got one of those, but it was not easy to tell. The a/c-heating unit was extremely noisy, but we were thankful that it had a "constant" fan button to help with that and to drown out the train a few blocks away. The good: The bed was soft, as were the pillows, water pressure in the shower was good, towels were adequate size. The room was clean and well decorated. Be careful, the bathroom floor is smooth tile and when it gets wet, it is slippery. The hairdryer was good quality with a lot of power. The front desk staff was very welcoming. The bad: No conditioner, just conditioning shampoo in a bottle half the size of other hotels. What is one to do with long hair? There is a lot of noise from the hallway due to the doors being too thin. We didn't hear any noise from neighbors, but the sound of doors opening and closing down the hallway along with conversations was a constant. Speaking of noise, who lets their renovation crew play extremely loud music while working at a hotel? I was trying to work in the afternoon on a web call and my colleagues could hear the music. The trash from the renovations was just thrown out of the rooms (mattresses, curtains, toilet paper), all within the view of our window. It was left there the entire three days of our stay. I wish I had taken a picture of the mess that we had a view of. Needless to say, we kept our curtains closed the whole time. Had there not been trash everywhere, we would have had a view of the pool, a large grassy area, and a beautiful orange tree. I think either the crew needs to be cognizant of the fact that people are there on vacation, so don't make it a non-pleasant one, or close the whole place down while you renovate. You are not allowed to bring coolers into your room, or any outside food or drink to the pool, but none is available for purchase either. They do have a snack bar with limited choices to purchase at the front desk. The restaurant is closed except for breakfast, which you need a ticket for. There is no bar area. So, no restaurant or bar and there is NOTHING within walking distance of this hotel. You will have to drive anywhere you want to go. There is not even a convenience store nearby. The lighting in the bathroom is pretty dismal. No pad or paper to write. I wanted to leave a tip for the housekeeping staff, but had no way to write a note to let them know the money was for them to take.Calling yourself a "boutique" hotel doesn't make it so.

Nice centrally located hotel, impressive lobby, comfortable beds, and friendly front desk staff. Could use some improvements in some areas however. The little bars of soap in the room were pretty pathetic, as well as the tp. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Euro style shower door that doesn't go all the way to the wall and just sorta tilts out. HVAC system in need of an overhaul - way too noisy. Spacious rooms overall and a nice balcony but bathrooms a bit tight. Same with the fitness room that had 3 machines - that's it. Almost like they really didn't want to offer that facility. Needed some towels in the fitness room too. If they weren't there due to Covid reasons, they could've at least installed a paper towel dispenser. Breakfast was available to guests via a coupon system - a bit tacky. Good array of things considering pandemic times however: orange juice, coffee, yogurt, toast, english muffins, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, fresh fruit, etc.

Very nice hotel. Super quiet. Would love to see it at its full potential with an open restaurant and the pool and hit tub open past 6pm, as well as the fire pits working. The front desk girls were great amd helped with whatever I needed. Comfy bed. Quiet. Clean. Beautiful property. Close to everything. I'd stay again.
Good shrimp tacos. Not sure about the other items we had, average.

We were visiting the hotel Tucson for the Gem and mineral show and stopped to grab something to eat at their restaurant Down Town R, I am not a big fan of hotel eatery's. So it was a nice surprise that the food was actually good and nice proportions. Service was also good. Would recommend it.

Fantastic lunch specials! One of the best burgers I've ever had. The service is always very personable, friendly and fast. Great place for meetings or just grabbing a casual lunch. Locally owned, this is one of my favorites!

We paid a visit to the restaurant because we had a $15 coupon from Restaurant.com, and wanted to use it, and check out the food while saving a few bucks. The hotel lobby itself was spacious and clean and gave a welcoming feel as we walked to the back corner where the restaurant is located. The staff greeted us politely. We were the only customers for lunch, arriving around 1:30. That was a little surprising, but totally OK because it meant focused service and a nice seat looking out over the pool. I also personally like to eat with minimal noise. The waitress throughout was excellent. She gave us time to think about what we wanted, accepted our coupon, and although we only wanted one large beer, she kindly served it into two smaller glasses. While waiting for the food, she chatted with us throughout and it was nice to talk about the local area and exchange information on our travels. She was really kind and helpful, but sadly I didn't ask her name. As for the food, we opted for the pulled pork burger ($10) and the salmon arugula salad ($15) The quality of the food in both cases was excellent, and we were very pleased with that. We enjoyed the food. The pork burger was exactly what I'd expect in the US, being famous for this kind of food. The fries were good, but there was no salad, and I felt this would have improved the offering. As for the salmon salad, again this was excellent, but for $15 and literally an arugula salad (not much else apart from the greens, tomato and shavings of cheese, for example, no cucumber) I felt it was overpriced for what it was. The amount of salmon, and limited salad ingredients, didn't justify the price in my view. All in all, I'd recommend that you visit because the food was very tasty and well-served. The atmosphere was nice and the staff excellent - thank you! But be aware of prices if you're on a budget, and perhaps have a look online before you go at the options. But based on this review, if you do go - order the pulled pork burger, and perhaps they'll offer you some salad to go with it!
