Sampled the best turnover I've ever had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into ~ light, fresh, and well-balanced. Corn and flour tortillas are flavorful, soft, and moist. Mexican pastry was lightly sweet with a touch of cinnamon and sugar. Wishing one of these bakeries was in my home area.

We stumbled upon La Estrella Bakery while eating at the Mercado. We were recommended the donut and am happy we were, as it was one of the best donuts I've ever had! We were in Tucson for 4 days and went to the bakery everyday. Other highlights included: Concha (also best concha I've had) Churro filled with custard Canolli

It's as close to a religious experience as you can get while eating a warm tortilla. Which is to say: pretty close.
THE place for empanadas, cochitos, sweet treats and yummy cookies. Love the patio seating and cool location. Prices very reasonable. Get there early for pumpkin empanadas!

Super delicious way to introduce out of town guests to the foodie culture of Tucson as they start their day! Couple that with personable, timely service, especially on a day when everyone decided to drive to work, this little bakery just rocks. I purchased 2 dozen assorted parties to go -- just beautiful.

I want to start off by saying that the staff was friendly and helpful. The pastries did seem fresh however they were nothing to call home about. Nothing was labeled, and they had many items on display all of which looked interesting, however it was tedious having to ask them what was inside each item. Concha and donut were very good though.
Best bakery in town.
