Melon served was not ripe. Second time this has happened. Wine by glass past prime was sent back. Too much unnecessary arugula piled on melon. Isn't even necessary. Very disappointing dinner. Service not attentive even though restaurant was pretty empty. Used to be a favorite not going back.

My wife and I enjoyed our Sunday lunch but later she became ill, likely from her pre diabetic condition. We also made a forthcoming reservation for 8 but may decide to cancel as a precaution against repeating with that ongoing issue; we'll see if a change in menu items might avoid the problem.

Ordered a side of Brown butter gnocchi with my Branzino. Short ribs are a huge portion and beet salad add shrimp is delicious.

Restaurant smells horribly of sewage. You don't even smell delicious food when you enter the door. Food was generic at best and took forever to come out. Salad was bland. Everything on the menu was priced higher than posted online. We will not be returning. The wait staff was friendly and very good though.

We had a lovely dinner with a wonderful waiter. Our only complaint was the floral smell coming from the lady's room. Fortunately the hostess moved us to a new table. Work on a better smell in the bathroom!!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Tucson. The food is usually excellent and the service is usually very good. However, the grilled artichoke was overcooked or tough to begin with. We told our Server who said he would talk to the manager about it. Never got back to us with a replacement or a credit. Disappointing. However, the rest of the meal was very good.

The food at Tavolino is outstanding, the porchetta is lean, Moist and tender. The bolognese is excellent and the calamari appetizer is excellent . We always enjoy having dinner here

The Ravioli di Zucca was just mediocre. The “brown butter” was not browned (it was just melted butter) and sage sauce had little or no sage flavor at all. The Costine di Manzo al Barbera di Paulo (beef short ribs) was flavorless and slightly on the tough side. The lack of flavor, I'm sure, was because there was not a drop of fat on it. It's the fat that gives beef its flavor, of course, and a thick-cut without fat is bound to be both tough and flavorless. We had two wines, both Rinaldi's, a Primativo and a Barolo, but both were also just mediocre (I'm quite familiar with Italian wines). It's our third try at Tavolino, and our third disappointment.

Our 44th anniversary. The ambiance was good, the food was excellent. Our server could have cared less about us. He took our order and that was about it. He gave us an anniversary tidbit (spoonful of ice cream for the two of us) and left. Did not offer us dessert. We had wanted to order dessert. The tidbit I guess had to do it. Then we waited for the check for 25 min. And waited. He finally gave us an incomplete check. We again waited for him to come back. He walked past us many times. So my husband finally got up and went over to him at the next table and asked him for the check then came back to our table. 10 min later the waiter returned with a payable check. Another 10 min went by before he returned to run it. We finally got to leave.

We asked for a quiet table and it was perfect. Dustin was our server and pays attention to details that result in a high quality dining experience. Example turning your entree plate so food is presented properly. Menu is varied and all our food was prepared well

This place is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Their pastas were all very flavorful with different types of pasta with each dish. The service was great and when it was really windy outside they turned on two heaters. This pasta was one of the best pastas I've ever eaten.

Horrible place, not an exaggeration. Today, 14Feb24, they seated us at a table out in the middle of a passthrough doorway, literally at a table out where people pass through to another room. When we complained the seating waitress said "sorry, that's all we have." The entire time we ate we saw two other tables right near us never used our entire stay, she lied. My wife’s food had cold spots throughout. The food came out in 5 minutes, faster than a burger at McDonalds. All of their food is frozen in plastic wrap then microwaved and served and you’re paying custom restaurant prices. Don't be fooled by Tavolino Ristorante, this is a cheap knockoff pretending to be a good Italian restaurant with a upscale facade but across the tracks reality.

I've been here twice, little bit of an older crowd but we were there at 4:30 on a Friday so we expected that. Ordered a pizza and calamari at the bar. Prompt service, food is pretty good.
