Context: I went here with four other adults and one toddler (who mostly slept during the meal). We went here for an opportunity for a standard dinner on a random Monday night. My wife and daughter are visiting the area but we met up with three locals.Firstly, the food:We all ordered sandwiches. I got the Lute’s Special burger. It was advertised as a burger with a hotdog on top. What it was… was a burger with a hot dog on top. I would have given this a 3 because the food was exactly what it said it was at a step above Five Guys quality, but the salsa at the table was very tasty and a lovely addition to be able to add it as I saw fit. Also those in my group had glowing reviews.Secondly, the ambiance:This place has random crap all over the walls. It’s like a mix between a Chotskie’s and an old school garbage Atlantic City casino. I don’t want that to be taken poorly - this atmosphere worked very well and caused us to have a fantastic experience. It was unique in a way that was charming.Lastly, the service:Our server was named Tyrone M (according to the receipt). He was SPOT ON the best server I have ever had. I neither mean that facetiously nor do I mean it in terms of a niche engagement. Tyrone had it FIGURED OUT. He got our orders taken in efficient order, returned in efficient order, was consistently interacting with us for what we needed, ensured we never had gaps in our night, and was accommodating when we asked to move tables and get an extra food item due to the toddler. Absolutely amazing.Overall - great experience. I would recommend.

Neat place and fun atmosphere. Food is good, delivered with amazing speed. The bar service was excellent and plenty of stuff to keep you or your children occupied. The owner is just a uniquely gifted soul that makes the place fun

Why is this place so popular? We loved the eclectic decorations and atmosphere of this place but our food was meh. We got a daily special with bbq brisket with Gouda cheese and baked beans and a 1/2 soup and sandwich. I opted for the clam chowder. It didn't tasted homemade and lacked flavor but was piping hot and was ok. The turkey sandwich was on a grain bread that added to the sandwich. The bbq brisket was messy and delicious. The cheese needed a little more melting. The beans were ok more like a chili/bbq bean flavor. All in all it's fun to try each time we come to Yuma but once a trip is enough. Service is hit and miss.

This place is a must . Drove down from Calgary Alberta so glad this place was recommended to us!
We stopped here on the way home from CA, taking I-8 instead of 10 this time around. Have never been here and came at the recommendation of a couple of people who used to live in Yuma. Oh my gosh! What a fun stopping place...so much to walk around and see while waiting for your meal to be served. The walls, the ceiling, the floors, everywhere you look there is stuff and so much history! I took so many pictures to share! Our server, Wendy...cannot say enough about this woman! She is amazing and helpful and we loved that when one of the group asked what she recommended, she mentioned several things that weren't at the top of the price range. She took the time to explain things and because there was another huge party going on and she had to take care of them, she explained to us that there would be a bit of wait but not to worry...she'd take care of us! One of our people ordered a burger and asked for green chili and when it came to the table, Wendy looked at it and realized it wasn't right (it was missing tomato as well) and without saying anything, she took it back to the kitchen and within minutes the correct burger was served. I had the patty melt, which I loved because Lute's serves it with jack cheese and not the typical swiss! Served with perfectly grilled onions on toasted rye bread...a perfect patty melt! I always dip mine in yellow mustard so never want some yucky sauce on it! Lute's makes a mean patty melt! I also had some of the best tater tots ever fried...to perfection! Not greasy in the least. We also had their onion rings...the true test of a perfect onion ring? You take a bite and get just that bite, not the whole onion pulling out of the crust. Again...Lutes knows how to make rings perfect! They make an awesome homemade ranch dressing which we asked for for the dipping sauce. I didn't try the salsa but loved how they bring it to the table in a syrup container...everyone who had some said it was good and "not too spicy". Towards the end of our meal, Wendy came to check on us and when we asked about separate checks (6 of them), she didn't even skip a beat...said "no problem" and off she went to put the checks together. Such a great and fun experience and HIGHLY recommend a visit when you are either in or traveling through Yuma.
