Poor service ruined our experience. This was our 1st visit to Prison Hill Brewing Company. Our first decision was to choose a beer from their list of on tab brews which consisted of their own creations as well as a few from other breweries. Since our waitress dropped off the menu, I went to the bar to ask some questions of the bartender (who was not busy). He didn't want to help and told me to talk to my waitress. Once we settled on beer (We chose 2 brews from other breweries; Candy Bar Stout and Papago Orange Blossom, both were good), we decided to share the meat Plate (adding a 3rd meat) which was pretty good. (forgot to take a pci before eating a good amount). However, meats were a bit dry, needing BBQ sauce but we only recieve a small cup. Since our waitress was busy chatting with the bartender, we needed to go back to the bar to request more BBQ and also ketchup for the fries. As I said, POOR SERVICE! Lastly, when we paid, we were charged $1.58 for extra sauce which is ridiculous especially in light that we ordered an extra meat.Would we return? Maybe bit we will visit some of the other eateries/bars first. Keep in mind, none of their brews called us enough to order.

Pros:Waitress was on it but then again was not busy but great waitress.Plenty of food.IPA SamplesFood presentation.A lot beer selection.Cool place to be at but missing something lonely for a Friday night.Cons:Flavor of was just not there every bite I expected for the flavor to be there like if this time it was going to be there but no it never showed up.I had beans for side dish and beans where not fully cooked a bit hard side and dry. They charge for condiments like Dressings “No Bueno”Plates $10-$20Would I come back? Maybe to give it another chance see if the flavors show up or to have some beers. This place could be something

The poutine was awesome. Gravy was a rich flavor and very dark. Had the right amount of cheese.Had a Hefeweizen which was pretty good. The burger was juicy and thick. Service was great too. We did get there soon after opening, so not too many folks around.

Prison Hill Brewery is,a definite must stop place when in Yuma. With ample seating indoors and outdoors a nicely stocked bar and good choice of beers. The nenu is casual dining but with good choices for everyone as well as a perfect spot to catch the big game. Delicious food, great drinks and a relaxing atmosphere, what more could you want when dining in Downtown historic Yuma.

Echoing some of the other reviews on here. We stopped in and there were only a few other people in the restaurant and we were the only two at the bar. It took the bartender several minutes to come out and greet us. She poured our beers and then did not come back to check on us or take our order for at least another 10 minutes. By that time we decided not to eat there. Finished our beers and left. Would not return.

I am so impressed with this business that I have to say it blew me away . The thought and detail that goes into making this restaurant and bar a success is beyond measure . The history alone is enough to rock your socks but to carry the theme all the way throughout is a well cared for vision turned reality . The chef has to be noted because the food choices and quality of food were exceptional. Their drink menu and infused Vodka was phenomenal. Hands down the little store front with T-shirts and such were just adorable as well as quality. I am definitely a huge fan of this restaurant it's a true treasure. Spoil yourself and check this place out . Anytime i'm going through the area this will be a must visit for me again.

From the amazing service as soon as we stepped foot in this place, everything was fan-freaking-tastic! The flight Rachel put together based on my tastes was spot on, the sampler was yummy and the waffle was to die for! Will 100% be back! Love Their prison theme and back story as well!

Nice little brewery and restaurant in old town Yuma. The front part is the beer taps and bar and the sides and rear are the tables. Good crowd in the restaurant when we went. Good service too. If you get the chance to order a fried avocado, don't miss. Lightly breaded (think tempura) and served with a spicy sauce. Very unique. Ample food and beer selection. Recommend!

Wandered past this pub and thought we would try out....very pleased with our choice, excellent selection of home made beers, lovely service and great atmosphere. We were just passing through for 1 night, if we had longer we would be back! Highly recommended!

Good place for beer but the food is awful. Brisket was hard and chewy. Not the best. Will probably not come back.

Came here on a Saturday for lunch with a party of 13- great service, great food and great choice of alcoholic beverages. We got the chipotle shredded beef sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich. Servings were great, chose the fries (amazing ) and potato salad (perfect). The kids enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries. Tried the pineapple cider and the blackberry cider - excellent.

If you just want good food, then this is the place. However, they charge a lot for added toppings. I bought a hamburger and original price was $15.99. When I received the tab it was around $25... around an additional $7+ in total for added toppings : (~$2+ for tax, but who cares about that). I understand restaurants charging extra for something that isn't included in the item, but it was basically an extra $3 for bacon, $2 for cheese, and $2 for avocado. I assumed it would be an extra 75¢-$1 for bacon, 50¢ for cheese, and 75¢ for avocado. My waiter was the one suggesting the toppings, "with bacon?", sure, "with cheese?", sure, "with avocado?", sure. I thought "eh I guess it's okay. A few extra bucks isn't too bad". Boy was I wrong. If they had told me how much extra it was gonna be I wouldn't have gotten extra toppings. I guess it was my fault bc I didn't ask how much extra it would be. The burger was good, but idk if it was $25 good.

This place marks high for the location, being downtown near the action. Super cool venue. Pretty girls and a wide variety of beer. The food is adequate and I think they really do try on the flavor. Definitely will return. Where they fall short is staff. Some of them don't belong there. They are lazy, unprofessional and slow. They are too laid back working there. Anytime I needed something I had to get up and go to find the waiter or waitress as they are always congregating near the bar or talking to each other. I started to feel like I was working there. Most seem to be more involved with hanging out with their friends (coworkers) then they do serving the customers. I guess this is more for the manager. Too many places will end up empty without good service even with good food and a cool venue. Managers need to manage the staff.
