The place was made to look high end but lacked some ambiance. The home made bread was fantastic but they only bring one and did not offer more unless you ask. The coffee was self-serve and complimentary so I helped myself while waiting for the food. I ordered the Western bowl with grits. The food was brought out to us pretty quickly and it was hot and fresh.There isn't much parking so we almost ordered to go, but glad we hung around and found a spot. We will definitely be back.”

He played the piano, juggled his balls, cooked, served us, gave good directions, helped us back out and in general was a nice new friend to meet from mainland China. “I had the pleasure to visit Bellue’s this past week. Food was awesome. We had spare ribs, macaroni and cheese, cornbread dressing with shrimp, corn bread and beans. Very friendly atmosphere. “Elsie’s is a favorite of mine so it was a no brainer to go there for my birthday back in March. It was the first time for my boyfriend, who’s from Kenner, and he was throughly impressed. We got the red bean hummus and crawfish queso to start because I think EVERY MEAL should start with those two. The entrees were delectable as always and to top it all off, they had my all time favorite pie in the case. We took home a whole chocolate pecan pie because who needs birthday cake when you can have birthday pie?!?! All in all, a perfect evening at Elsie’s as always.”

“If you are a lover of Neopolitan-style pizza--and you should be--this is your place. The pies are perfection. The sauce is a bright, fresh, and simple, tasting of high-quality San Marzano tomatoes. Nothing more and nothing less, just as I like it. But the crust. The crust! Phenomenal. I have been advised that they sell their dough balls. I have not yet taken advantage, but I fully intend to, though I know my Ooni is a poor substitution for Rocca's beautiful oven. If you don't order the garlic knots, you are a fool. I have had similar at a well-known New Orleans establishment. These are better by far. You have not lived until you have had the whipped provolone. I only wish I could recreate myself as it sadly does not transport well. Their newest special is housemade pastrami on rye. I myself do not eat beef but my husband loves pastrami, so we dropped everything so he could try it without delay. We have visited New York City several times in the past couple of years. My husband has had some GOOD pastrami sandwiches. He says he likes Rocca's better. Better than Katz. Service is always lovely, ambiance is good. If you're going on a Friday or Saturday, make reservations. This is popular spot, and for good reason.”

“This is the best Mexican in Baton Rouge. They have the best salsa! It is a roasted salsa so less acidic, which is what I love about it. Also they have an awesome, creamy green salsa. The table side guac is great too. There's no question they have the best fajitas in Baton Rouge. The chicken is sliced thin and the flavor is just awesome. I don't usually go for steak fajitas but I do here because it's always tender rather than chewy like lots of other places. Homemade tortillas of course, and you see them being made as you walk in. Love this place and when I want good Mexican, it is always my first choice!”

“Extremely rude workers. They delete comments if they don't like the review. We had a party of 10 and waited like they asked then they tried to seat us at a table for 6 people. Five people would be piled on top of each other on a booth. asked to add a table ( there were 3 empty tables right by us) they said no but we could wait an additional hour for a table. asked for manager and a girl comes out saying she is manager. No apologies no nothing. We did call ahead and were told no same day reservations but they had a big enough table to accommodate us. I have been reading reviews and there are a ton similar to our experience. It's starting to seem they do not want to accommodate large parties and try to make the experience so unbearable that they eventually leave. We ALWAYS tip over 25 percent even when service sucks. Their loss!!”

“I thoroughly enjoyed this authentic Jamaican food. The oxtails were so tender and the jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned. It was definitely a lot of food and it’s worth every penny. I have never tried soursop juice drink but it was delicious as well. I will definitely be back to try that jerk burger.”

“I ordered for the first time online today which was great. My expected pick up time was eight minutes after I ordered but unfortunately I didn’t get my order until 24 minutes after I ordered. I will say that I really do love waffle House. One of the few places that cook your food to order and they use real eggs, so I am OK waiting. I do feel that if there were more staff at this location that they would’ve been able to fulfill not only my order but the other customers in the restaurant quicker but I understand in this climate, it’s hard to find good people, thank you for my food. It was delicious.”

You will understand once you eat here. Food is actually really good. Theyve had the same cook there for decades. He does an amazing job. I highly recommend their breakfast bowls and their scramblers. If you are going to get their waffles, make sure you eat them there while theyre fresh. Because if you take it to go, by the time you make it home the texture is like the microwaved kind. It has nothing to do with the quality of the waffle itself, it has to do more with the container. It retains moisture from the steam and therefore causes soggyness.”

“Positive first experience. Went for late night dinner at this new spot in town. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Beef empanada was tasty- spicy & sweet with powdered sugar dusting. Had marinated beef dish with vegetables, rice, plantains (fried egg on top) and fried potatoes. It was very good. I would try chicken dish next time, as this appears to be their specialty. The price was a bit steep for the beef entree, but seemed authentic and served with love! ♥️♥️”

Cut me off. Made rude facial expressions and Slick comments. As a person in the restaurant business. I know some days aren’t the best. Inside or out side of work. But No one deserves to be treated a certain way because it’s a “bad day” . It hasn’t just been 1 time either. Also seemed like the other employees are used to her behavior. Love the food. Nevertheless, I'd been seeing someone post delicious-looking dishes on social media and so I went back. The interior of the restaurant has not changed, possibly ever. This is not a bad thing, in fact, it's quite comfortable. The service was attentive and the food came out quickly. Now, for the food. I liked the salad. It's a great tangy dressing. I like good salad that isn't overly complicated. As someone who isn't a fan of tomatoes, I liked that it only had a tomato wedge and not chopped up tomatoes that I had to pick out. It was also a really good size salad. The chicken shawarma had good flavor, but it was a bit dry. The rice pilaf was standard fare. I LOVED the flavor and texture of the hummus. The pita was thin which was different. Next time I go, I will definitely get the hummus again and hope to try one of their special dishes.”

Now as for as service the gentleman that took my order was very nice but after I got in my truck and down the road I discovered that I had no utensils for the sides and no tortillas. Altogether food would be a 8/10 service would be 5/10”

It was expensive, $9 and very basic. The salted caramel cookie and black coffee were good. The service was superb. They were so kind and helpful. “Have loved Counter Culture for years. My "go-tos" are the turkey melt on Jalapeño cheddar bread and the Humphrey Yogart. Their bread is amazing and I keep forgetting to ask if they make it in house. Employees are attentive, quick and cordial. The inside is clean and decorated with LSU posters. I usually use the drive through and the wait is never very long. Would recommend trying this BR staple.”

“A friend referred me to Stone and Cloth last year, when I told her I was looking for a new stone for my breakfast table. My mother and I walked into their shop pre-lockdown and were warmly welcomed by Kelly Kirby. She gave me great suggestions for a replacement stone and a list of the Stone Distributors in town to search for my desired slab. Her suggestion for the marble was spot on and that’s the one we selected for our breakfast table. Since I placed my order during the lockdown, installation was delayed until phase 2 would allow for work to commence. During the waiting period, Kelly worked with me regarding having my existing breakfast table stone retrofitted for one of my bathroom counters. They removed the existing sink and under-mounted a new one to freshen up bathroom. At the same time, we realized the remaining piece of the slab for the breakfast table would fit perfectly in a second bathroom and a new sink under-mounted as well. We are very pleased with the excellent fabrication of all of the stone work and the installers had been polite, thorough and efficient. I highly recommend using Stone and Cloth for all of your building needs.”

My main concern was the relatively small size of this space; the number of people made it almost impossible to safely distance from others. This place will need more space and outdoor seating in order to comply with health safety precautions and be successful. Every table should have chairs — there were two or three tables with no chairs. I’d be embarrassed to have such a situation, and I’m pleased another patron offered me a chair to enjoy my cappuccino treat.”

The employees are always friendly, and the 1 time out of 100, my food was wrong. The manager corrected it and handled it with respect, and in a way, I would have. Also, depending on the direction you are coming from, google may tell you to pass it up and come back around. The cut across that is open goes down the side street and google doesn't realize you can get in the shopping center from the side street.”

Five people would be piled on top of each other on a booth. asked to add a table ( there were 3 empty tables right by us) they said no but we could wait an additional hour for a table. asked for manager and a girl comes out saying she is manager. No apologies no nothing. We did call ahead and were told no same day reservations but they had a big enough table to accommodate us. I have been reading reviews and there are a ton similar to our experience. It's starting to seem they do not want to accommodate large parties and try to make the experience so unbearable that they eventually leave. We ALWAYS tip over 25 percent even when service sucks. “So, I'm not explicitly saying I am a bbq snob, but unless I'm home (Texas), KC, or Carolina, I typically won't even try a place. However, I was with a group of locals that was sure their place could change my mind. Spoiler alert...it didn't. With that said, there were definitely some good points. First off, you could smell the smokers when you were in the parking lot, so great start. We showed up at the tail end of lunch and there were a lot of people seated. It took about 30 minutes to get seated, but it was a large crowd. I have no issues with the wait. I ordered a two meat plate with burnt ends, brisket, Mac and cheese and fries. Overall, I'm disappointed to say the Mac and cheese was the best. And it WAS really good. The burnt ends were way to dry for the most part. There were a couple of bites that were delightful, but for the most part all the fat had been rendered and they were just dry little nuggets. The brisket was ok. Also a little too dry and sliced thinner than I'm used to. It did have a decent smoke ring though! Our server was excellent. Kept checking on us and made sure drinks were filled. No issues there whatsoever. Would I come here as a destination meal? Not likely. But again, I live in what I consider the brisket capitol of the country, so keep that in mind. There were definitely some good bites, just not every bite. I give it a non bbq state 4 stars. ”

“If you are looking for high-quality sushi look no further. I get umami about once a week. I really was not a person who liked raw sushi before but now I don’t want anything else. I’ve tried eating raw sushi from other places, but it’s just not the same freshness. For me personally, I go for the nichi roll and the spicy salmon roll adding salmon on top is super good. I also really love the seafood Ramen and the little chili oil you can get on the side. Although I normally like to split with somebody and get a roll in the side just for a little variety. They also have more specialty fish like uni and bluefin tuna which I have been wanting to try, but they are on the more expensive side but I love how they have variety of really expensive items that are more rare hard to get and items that you can afford on a budget. They really have something for everybody so I definitely recommend you check it out if you’re wanting fresh sushi.”

I took his suggestion! Boy, he was spot on! The shrimp were plump and cooked perfectly! The steak was seasoned perfectly, cooked perfectly and was so tender! The chicken and veggies were amazing! The service was spot on! I wish that I lived in Baton Rouge because I'd be eating here weekly!”
“The Service was great. With a reservation, we were seated immediately. Didn’t have a choice where to sit though. Our waiter was very friendly and the food came out quickly. The salmon sashimi was so thin that you could almost see through it. And it was priced per piece. Kind of disappointing. The bathroom there looked like it could be in a local truck stop. Not clean and needs updating. All in all, we had a great experience.”

“Molto bene! Finding good Italian fare is a struggle. I was so grateful when a friend referred me to Fratelli's. While not completely authentic Italian (you know any food offerings from other countries are usually catering to the American pallette) it was still surprisingly scrumptious. The service was attentive and prompt, the dishes were flavorful and filling. The prices were agreeable and affordable especially considering we recieved complimentary bread and had plenty of food for lunch the next day. I enjoyed the tour of Italy but recommend the chicken parmeseana the most for main courses. For dessert, the cannoli was on point, and the lemon marscapone was delectable, but that spumoni cheesecake was a real show stopper. I'm not a big fan of cheesecake and I would order the spumoni for myself it was so good. Over all, highly recommended!”

“Awesome people and are willing to go the extra mile to make a customer happy. We picked up 15lbs of live crawfish at 12:30 in the afternoon and got home to clean them and prepare for a boil at 430. We noticed a few were dead and called and they let us know to wait and see if they wake up from being on ice. When we went to boil at 3 we noticed even more not moving and potentially dead. We brought them back and they kindly swapped it out for new crawfish. I appreciate them taking the time to show us a crawfish after being on ice and being kind to us and replacing them! Crawfish were amazing in size!”
“Nearly all of it was very solid. I got the pita with lamb/chicken, rice, salad. The lamb and chicken were very well seasoned and strongly charred, loved it. Hummus was extremely smooth and the pita wasn’t bad as well. But the salad was just mixed green, cheese and dressing. Wish it wasn’t included or replaced with something else. Overall amazing food though, loved it and will eat there again.”

The girls behind the counter are always so nice & give the best recommendations. This morning I got the Football Sunday & it's definitely my favorite so far. If you need a pick-me-up in the morning definitely check this place out. They take call in orders too which is super helpful.”
