Just about everything (good and bad) you see in the reviews is probably true. I only went here once a year ago but by God were the Greek style ribs unforgettably good.I didn't regret eating here even a little bit even at the given price.

Update sept 2023The food is still excellent. My wife had the salmon. It was cooked perfectly, the rice was tasty, and the vegetables were fresh, not frozen. Overall, serving was huge. She was only able to eat about half the meal.I had the grilled chicken sandwich. Chicken was spot on, well cooked but not dry at all. Fries were nicely done, too. Salmon meal was 30 bucks, starter salad 6 bucks, chicken burger 20, wine 7 bucks. For the quantity and quality, pretty fair price. We eat out a lot, many restaurants, particularly in the City are as high or higher and often the food is no where near as well prepared.Service was attentive and very friendly. It's not the fanciest place but still one of the best restaurants on Highway 5.I rated the place a 3 instead of 5 because it REALLY needs a good clean all over. There is dust everywhere and the bathrooms are filthy. Great spot to eat when you are overnighting in Blue River. Service was fast and friendly. Good menu with all the pub like favourites. Well priced.

While the service was good and the food was ok, I would give this place a negative 10 rating if I could. The pizza I ordered was first delivered charred to a crisp. The waitress explained that the chef considered it a “little more well done than he liked” and that I could ask for it to be redone if I wanted. I did try it, but as I would have broken a tooth on the crust, I did request that it be redone. At some point well after my husband had finished his burger and my redone pizza still had not arrived, I requested that we just get the pizza to go. Along with the bill. I was very surprised to see that they hadn’t discounted us anything, I would have thought that since the issue was their problem, that i would have at least been comp’ed the extra cheese I had ordered. When I asked the waitress if they would give us a discount considering the screw up, she asked the manager but he said “sorry, but no”. I guess since this was the only place in town that was open, they can change whatever they like and serve whatever they like. But $91 for dinner before tip (with two drinks each) for a meal that was just ok (and half of of the order taken to go after a long wait) is not acceptable. Not that we would be returning to Blue River anytime soon, but would definitely avoid this place given the chance again.

We visited the grill on our overnight stay in Blue River, we shared some chicken wings and fries which were excellent. The staff too were great this was a great little stop off for a bite to eat in a relaxed atmosphere.

This is a nice little restaurant. The food isn't gourmet but it's tasty. I eat here frequently and usually get pizza, a burger or beef dip.Licensed for alcohol so it can get boisterous.The staff are pleasant.
