We originally intended to dine at “that pub” across the street but it was way busier than it deserved to be so we wandered up the street to Toscanos. SO GLAD WE DID! Very pleasant little restaurant with a fabulous assortment of pasta dishes. Very nice selection of wines as well. The service was great and the food was fantastic with very large portions. Visiting the Comox area we got to go in for a nice dinner. They were so great with us, especially since we had three toddlers. The very BEST part was the amazing food , the Pecan chicken was definitely one of the top dishes I have had in my many travels here and abroad . It was so very delicious. My husband had the Flat Iron steak and he said it was extremely delicious. The rest of the family had all different Pasta dishes and they all loved them. The food was a mixed bag. The spicy lamb meatballs were fantastic. My wife loved her beet salad and pasta. I thought my pasta dish was pedestrian. Desert was supposed to be a chocolate mousse, however it tasted like a thick chocolate pudding. Atmosphere wasn't great and the noisy diners were so loud I couldn't carry on a conversation. The service was excellent so I bumped up their rating.
