We were disappointed by the poor treatment we received from the employee who's taking order today August 13, 2025 at around before lunch at the cafe- the employee tone was rude, she doesn't have to scream but could've ask nicely to lower the volume of one of kids video. It made the experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming for all of us!

I was seriously disappointed with my cheese burger, for $8.00 I expected a little more than a 2 oz burger 🙁
Who serves a burger patty so thin it was almost see through.

Today I was completely amazed by the unexpected extraordinary performance of two young employees of this cafe and it compelled me to search for the cafe. Savannah Lefebvre and Emma Surre … These two proved an excellent example of teamwork under stressful conditions with a beautiful performance. Because of our food preferences for having halal + non alcoholic ingredients in even vegetarian options, we often find it hard to find someone to elaborate on what is being served. Savannah showed excellent knowledge of ingredients and even suggested us alternatives. She knew exact serving sizes and her coffee suggestion was perfect . Emma on the other hand showed marvellous control on nerves and fast skills in placing the order. Together both of them displayed excellent coordination in helping us place a delicious order. I requested their lovely manager Ajeet to give them a raise.
Our grilled sandwiches with fries were delicious and homely but the drinks from fountain were solid on taste as well. I had the best lemonade ever and my husband was all raves for the strong Coke from a machine. This really was a proof of the cafe’s high quality standards. The owner has managed a clean , inviting diner experience as well as mouthwatering food for which the whole team deserves accolades.

No goats, wasted an hour of drive time. Booooo
A great spot for a delicous burger during a visit to Coombs. It's nothing fancy, just a straight up homemade style hamburger. And the fries were hot and crispy!

Nice cafe located in market. Standard selection but good quality. Price is a bit high but expected, staff are friendly.

The Old Country Market Cafe offers an average burger and fries, though the small patty may leave you wanting more. The mixed green salad is overwhelmed by excessive dressing. While the place is noteworthy for its goats, it falls short of being a memorable dining experience. It's a spot to eat, but not one that would entice a return visit. It's worth the trip to see the goats, but it's advisable to have a meal elsewhere before coming.
