The food was great per usual however I’ve never received worse service in my life. The young server I believe named Julia was so rude, snapping back at simple questions asking for utensils and giving the general impression we were inconveniencing her by being there. If you want to have a pleasant experience, make sure to not sit in her section.

Was told to try The Boot years ago, and I regret not going sooner! Cozy, casual atmosphere, solid Italian food and wine menu. Our server Manuela was warm and delightful, everyone was welcoming and upbeat. Loved the Seafood Cannelloni with tomato-cream sauce. My friend's Linguini with (fresh) Clams was excellent. Portions ample, we skipped starters and just had the bread. Prices fair. So happy to find an independent, traditional Italian spot in this area for everyday or a special occasion!Parking: Small lot behind restaurant, more parking on Ridgeway and side streets.

Overall, an enjoyable experience. Though the restaurant was full, the noise level allowed for easy conversation. We were seated promptly and the servers were friendly. I had a tortellini dish with a tomato/basil sauce-it was tasty without leaving an aftertaste that happens when too many spices are used. My friend had a cannelloni dish and found it to his liking. He finished his dinner which is often not the case. Neither of us had room for dessert. I would recommend The Golden Boot without hesitation.

While the decor is average, the pasta is extremely good. But the cost of the food and wine s modest by Vancoucer standards. The quality of fare per dollar spent is particularly good value.
I ordered the canollini and was surprised how fast the service was considering you made it from scratch. It had a wonderful texture and taste. Can't wait to return and try something else from the menu.

First visit. Wonderful! Great service. Nice bread with olive oil/balsamic. Perfectly cooked pasta. Nice size portions. Lots of clams in the spaghetti vongole, and well seasoned dishes. Decent wine selection. We will definitely be back.
