This is our new favourite restaurant in the Comox Valley. There were four of us, and everything was delectable. We started with oysters and Caesar salad, and had the lamb, chicken and two different seafood dishes. It was all done to perfection, including the presentation. The Chef brought us out a waldorf salad sampler, which was also very tasty. Our server, Josephine was lovely and provided exceptional service. This is an incredible fine dining experience, but the portions are quite substantial. We will be back.

We had been to Locals a couple of times before, and it was much better, We waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food. The beef cheek was dry. The rack of lamb was small and kind of tough. Both plates had only a few table spoons of loose mashed potatoes and a very small portion of virtually raw vegetables. Paying $50 a plate, it was extremely overpriced

Went for dinner last week for our 20th wedding anniversary and it will be the last time. Slow service, prices have gone up , and quality has dropped big time, my husbands mussels were rotten , my vegetables were burnt and all our server said was “ I will let the chef know” … definitely not worth the money we spent. What happened to this place? Where is all the delicious food? The excellent service? … so sad to see a once sure thing fall to just well.. garbage.

Very disappointed about our dinner, ordered a bouillabaisse thinking it would be local seafoods, the prawns were rubbery, tasteless and tasted like Asian prawns, small portion and came with a small piece of dried bread, will never order again, the broth wasn’t that great,we were all vey disappointed with our food and was one of the most expensive meal on menu, the good thing was the service.

Hard to complain about a place that is a local favourite. I don't like how the parking situation is very clear and had to walk around the building in the rain to get to the door.Came in on a Saturday afternoon for brunch and it was decently busy but we managed to get seated right away. I'm a fan of the rustic decor while it's not like that for everyone so your taste may vary. It had a good view of the river and lawn with a big open window. The food itself was good, not great but just good. It's a bit on the higher priced fare as most dishes are priced around the mid $20 mark. There was a very hot blonde server that looked like a young Britney Spears. Kudos. Also the complimentary blueberry muffins at the end of the meal were very good and appreciated.

This restaurant has an old rustic fine dining vibe to it. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy. I like that they offered a brunch option along with their normal menu. We got the Salish Sea Omelette and the Seafood Pasta, both of which were delicious. Our waitress also brought us some complimentary mini blueberry muffins which were so tasty. I probably would've bought some to take home if it was on the menu. I also liked that they gave out some chocolate mints at the end of our meal. Overall a decent restaurant with tasty dishes for a little above average price.
