Akari has great food with great prices and portion sizes. We never learn and always over order! It's always a surprise whenever the food comes because they're a lot! Their sashimi is always fresh, their rolls are great, and their bento boxes are huge! Service is slow most of the time but it's alright because the food always comes fresh.

Went here for lunch with a group. We all ordered different mains, but I liked my miso soup and vegetable tempura. I'd definitely go back! My friends like their meals as well (salmon teriyaki, and tonkatsu).

We have been going to akari for years for our date nights. Tonight we ordered our usual special combo and were disappointed and in disbelief. This place always had high standards, good taste and presentation. Our teriyaki beef was burnt so badly it looked cremated and i had to say a prayer for the loss. How does a chef serve this? Do you not take pride in your craft or business? Skip could only issue me 50% off for a dish so inedible. The roll was loosely rolled and so sloppy that when we opened the container it already fell apart. Considering your prices went up so high i suggest you also raise your standards back up.

I can’t think of a time when I left a restaurant more satisfied and happy.Akari is designed very nicely. It’s modern and comfortable. The staff are friendly and respectful.The food is incredible, everything we had was very tasty and fresh. We had about 10 different items and everything was top tier.I would say it’s pretty rare to have that level of quality across the board but the Akari staff managed to do that seemingly effortlessly.It’s a very well run restaurant and you might find yourself doing the Winnie the Pooh happy dance at your table.Order anything and everything. It’s all amazing.

This is my go to sushi place and it always good. I love the donburi and some of the special rolls. The service is great and everyone is so friendly. It is always super clean as well.

After spending over 100$ and tipping 20$ cad we had to constantly ask for typical services. And the waiter questioned what we were ordering insisting we shouldn't order too much. Last time I checked customer is always right. On our way out we weren't offered a bag for our food or chopsticks. We tipped regardless to give benefit of doubt, but after that experience I do not think we will be back.
