Easily the best greek food I have had west of the Ionian Sea. Fantastic flavours, tender meats, crispy salads and excellent service too. It's top of my dining list when visiting Vancouver from Europe.
Where to start? First off the table they wanted to put us at was so inconveniently positioned, the adjacent table would have had to get up every time we needed to go to the bathroom. They didn't have most of the wine on the menu, no tonic for gin & tonic (served soda water hoping we wouldn't notice). Appetizers didn't get ordered, meals took a very long time with no bread offered. One meal had to go back as it was stone cold. Just about every time we go there something major (service related) happens. Last time an entire tray of drinks (red wine, beer etc) was dumped in the lap of someone at our table. The food is delicious but there are only 1 or 2 qualified servers there with the training to make up for the massive mistakes made by other under-trained servers. Something needs to be done to improve this situation. We will not likely return. I will say that the server that took over our table last night (Sunny) did a wonderful job trying to salvage our night. She deserves a fat raise but other than her, the night was atrocious. The owner was there and couldn't be bothered to come to our table to attempt to make it right. That says it all sadly.

I have eaten at Taverna Gorgona many times since they oped many years ago. I am sorry they stopped their lunch service and their seniors menu but apart from that it is a great place!

Taverna Georgina is a regular restaurant that we frequent. We have never been disappointed in any way, and actually are always please with the service, food quality, and the value paid.
A great restaurant that takes you to Greece with their delicious food, drinks and great service. The decor is gorgeous and during the warmer months they have the best patio. Totally worth driving to Ladner for a great greek experience.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We try to get to the restaurant several times a year and have always found the food delicious( my favorite is the Greek lamb chops, Padakonia(Speling?) and my wifes favorite is the garlic prawns. we also enjoy the saginasky (spelling). There is a good selection of both red and white wines If you have not eaten at Taverna Gorgona I would highly recommend you do so.

I love Taverna Gorgona but I must say when your restaurant is full you cannot hear the person next you speak......I wish there was some way to install sound absorbers to help.. I will try to make a re on slow nights, if any and as the weather warms we will eat outside on the patio. I love your restaurant and will continue to come but I must choose my time wiselt as I want to talk to my guests.. Love your food!! always good!!

I love this place! I have been coming here for decades. Always excellent food. Atmosphere is wonderful, cloth napkins, table clothes, candles all make it a notch up. Every time we go the service is prompt and excellent. The night we went on a Friday, there was only one server in our section for about eight tables. she was run off her feet. We waited a very long time for our bill and to make payment and just collected cash from us all at the table and handed it to the hostess as we left. Probably more than a half hour waiting for a machine for payment. It was still worth it for the excellent dinner. Next time they should close a couple of tables so the waitress can handle the volume.
Fantastic meal. We had the roast lamb dinner, with just the optional Greek salad only instead of potatoes and rice. Calamari appetizer great as well. Service was excellent, and it's nice to sit at a table with a tablecloth.

The food was fantastic! Options available for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. We were a party of 16 people. Bills were a bit messy at the end of the night and drinks took longer than we hoped but overall was a great experience. We will definitely be back

Lovely food, very fair portion versus prices, beautiful clean setting, including white tablecloths and cotton napkins. And on the top i had my favorite egmek for the dessert . The only think I would suggest to improve the quality of the coffee. Both, me and my friend love all food except teh quality of the coffee.

Food excellent, seven o'clock the noise ramps up to a higher level, Server was excellent and very courteous but needed a second server for the amount of tables being served. Would definitely dine here again !

Atmosphere was pleasant, a nice buzz without being too noisy. Staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. A nice variety of choices and we were both pleased with our selections - certainly didn't go hungry.
