Great food and nice atmosphere in what feels like the middle of nowhere. Really wish I knew about that Chicken special and called in advance. Will be back for it!

Lovely restaurant with good food. The pizzas, burgers and chicken fingers are all great. They are doing take out right now (COVID) and are very friendly and efficient. Always a great stop.

Reopening soon under new and keen ownership

For the only pub/restaurant in 100km in any direction (approximate distance factoring in windy dirt roads, steep hills and thousands of potholes), this place was surprisingly pleasant. The food was a fair price and a massive portion. The bartender/server was lovely and kind. Their liquor inventory leaves quite a bit to be desired but the view is nice and all things considered, I really enjoyed it.

The Scarlet Ibis is all right. When you've just come out of the bush from a multiple days camping trip, a grandiose hike this restaurant is a gift from the heavens. Hot food that you don't have to make over a tiny stove from measured rations. If you don't fall into the above two categories then you most likely live in the logging village and then it is your only restaurant around for miles and I'm sure an excellent form of entertainment. The food is decent, the drinks are fine, and the service is okay. If you sit outside you have a beautiful view of the ocean and they are great if you bring your dog 🐕 with you. Hey you might as well stop in because there isn't anything else around and you know your hungry.

It's the last vestige of civilization on the way to the northern west coast. A must stop on your way back from backcountry adventure. Great food and a beer after days of hard work.

5 stars for excellent service and delicious burgers, onion rings, fries and strawberry shortcake. This was the best way to end a challenging few days of hiking at Cape Scott Provincial Park.
