Awesome food, great new owners.
The food wasn't great but the service was good and the place has quite a bit of character despite being very simple on the inside. The townsfolk were charming and it added to the experience.
Delicious home made food. It made our day!
Stopped in to see if they had wifi (they do) on our trip to Cape Scott. Stayed for a few pints and dinner and throughly enjoyed the delicious food and fantastic service. Such great ambiance and well worth the stop in if you’re anywhere near the area. Fish and chips are a must!
Soon to be open 7 days a week! Love the iconic location and food.
What a neat old timey logger pub
Tiny, little, very out of the way, forestry hamlet. One pub, one corner store and nothing open until 3pm. Very scenic but all logging gravel roads to get to this destination of Holberg, BC.
Great food and service!
Best wings of my life!!!! Stopped at the scarlet 5 minutes before closing hoping they’d still serve food! They didn’t disappoint and did what they could! I was so surprised! Fries and wings after a cold day at the beach was just what we needed! Great service, the lady was friendly and didn’t mind that we last minute! Also loved the darts you can play! Forever thinking about those wings!
Must be the best pub in the most inaccessible place on the island! Good food and drinks, super friendly folks. They'll take good care of you. Be sure and stop by on your way to Cape Scott.
This is such a lovely cool place to stop for a break on your way to all types of amazing outdoor activities. Loved the sweet no-nonsense hospitality and the kindly owner. Food was delicious, great portions and affordable. The Scarlet Ibis is the heart of this tiny hamlet and well worth the drive/visit.
Stopped at this ultra cool pub and restaurant on our way through Holberg - beautiful location, delicious food, stunning views, and very affordable prices for the large portions. I love love love the owner, she is so very hopsitable (as it the whole Hamlet). I would highly reccomend a visit to the Scarlet Ibis.
Service was great ? so was the food
We were very pleased to enjoy delicious burgers and beers at the characterful Scarlet Ibis Pub after our three day hike to Cape Scott. They have new safety protocols in place and also have a rockin jukebox. They also sell chocolate bars, eggs and milk and a few other basics for anyone wanting to stock up before arriving at the park. They are open 3-8 pm so plan to visit in the afternoon or early evening.
Great food and nice atmosphere in what feels like the middle of nowhere. Really wish I knew about that Chicken special and called in advance. Will be back for it!
