BoxcAr Kitchen is a bit of a hole in the wall at the back beside BNA’s brewery and tap room. The banh mi & steamed buns are excellent and definitely worth seeking out! The ingredients are fresh, flavorful, nicely seasoned, which takes both the sandwich and the buns to a new/delicious level! Highly recommend eating here and ordering a BNA beer to go with. I can’t wait to return for more buns and banh mi. Yummy!
We got a couple of banh mi's (rootbeer pork and chili chicken) and the boxcar fries take out from here. The root beer pork was really interesting - I would recommend and order again! The pork was extremely tender and had a hint of sweetness that you would expect from root beer. As part of a walking food tasing tour, we stopped here for a bite. What is had was really good. Nice and fresh. Had I known about this place sooner (versus the day before we left), I would have gone here for a more substantial meal. There is a nice sitting spot outside with a fire pit (they even gave us blankets), as well as seating inside. I will definitely go back.
