Oh man where do I begin?!?! I ordered 2 pops and when the waitress came back to the table she gave them to my in-laws who also ordered the pops. I then mentioned I ordered 2 pops also and the waitress came back with 5 waters. I was beyond annoyed at this point as she ignored me on 2 separate occasions . So I told her not to worry about the drinks. Next I ordered 2 spring rolls, deep fried Wontons and BBQ Pork. The Pork was actually very tasty! (So silver lining). But I did not receive my spring rolls and the Wontons were not Wontons but just the flaky batter folded to look like Wontons. Got an Egg roll instead of spring rolls which was not eatable. Our Fried Rice had a burnt taste to it also, after getting 2 seperate orders and waiting almost 30 minutes we just called it and decided to get our cheque. It was a disaster!! To make matters worse the waitress spilled sweet and sour sauce all over my son’s arm and legs….luckily it was not hot but didn’t offer to give us napkins or to clean it off, I had to ask and even though I had asked she still didn’t give us any napkins. To top the whole experience off we received our Spring rolls 45 minutes after we had originally ordered it, and I am willing to give a bit of grace due to a busy kitchen……but we were the only table seated at the time!!!!!! BEYOND FRUSTRATED! and will not be going there ever again!

If I could put less then 1 star I would .They spilled sauce on our son with no apology , our spring rolls came after we were all done our food, after we asked 5 times and waited a hour , our rice was burnt , and we asked for new rice and it was still burnt . We never received our pops after asking twice and we gave up . This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant and the fact they didn’t even offer a discount at all due to this poor experience is beyond me . Needless to say we will never be returning . Please save your self some and do NOT go to this restaurant.

Our family regularly enjoy our outings at this restaurant. Great service and the food is very fresh. I'd love to see the smorgasbord come back. It would be a five rating if this was there.

No effort to make the food worth wanting to eat. The only worst food I have eaten is from its sister restaurant in Nanaimo. Never again.

The service was great. The food was just so so, and the atmosphere was nonexistent.

We had ordered a combo, and everything was super greasy. I started with an egg roll that was double battered. My brother's chow mein had raw bean sprouts. Just as stated in other reviews, the almond chicken is mostly batter with a very small amount of chicken. But the service was good which is why i gave the 2 stars.

Long time Local

I realized today while picking up my take out, (didn’t want to eat in again to avoid confrontation) that there is also a comparatively older (not old)strawberry blond manager. She seems nice and is not the one I had problems with.Food is great and fresh.

Dragon city used to be fantastic. Great buffet. Ordered tonight. Everything is not great at all. I got almond chicken - so greasy even the dog didnt want to eat it. Chow mein so bland. Spring roll so so greasy. Won ton soup is ok but not very good. Shrimp in it taste less than fresh. For the price - could have gone to Rhythm in Nanaimo and had good food. Heck even quality foods is better. Delivery guy was great. Only plus.

Tried to get a $150 plus order delivered. Called to check on order when it was half an hour late (already 90 minutes into it at this point) and was told it was ready to go but they were waiting for the driver to return. When I tried to ask if they could please make sure it was kept hot, the woman rudely interrupted me, stated it would get there when it got there and hung up on me. Ordered from someone else but was courteous enough to call back and cancel the order from Dragon City. Then received a call from someone else who informed me the order wasn't even started yet ..... so the first rude individual was, I guess, being cya. Second lady was quite pleasant/professional and I think perhaps the bad behaviour is hopefully a one-off. I know businesses can have staffing issues and sometimes are forced to take the dregs but really, if an order is not ready to go after 2 hours plus and the service is rude, why would I ever want to risk a repeat? May try them again someday but probably not soon. The other restaurant was great to deal with, food was delicious, hot, fresh - they will be first call from here on in.

It was my first timing dining in with my family and thought it would be modest food, but man that Peking Crispy Ginger Beef is the best I’ve ever had! Huge portions, great food, and great recommendations from our server who was very friendly. We will order from here for sure again, maybe take out to transfer beach or something.
