Best Pho in town hands down! The Carrot Beef Stew is deadly.

I used to go there almost every week with a few friends. The last time I went there was about two months ago. When my friends and I went there, it was about 2:30. We were the only table in the whole store to dine in, but we waited. It took a long time to wait for the staff to come and take the order. I ordered a double portion of tender, but I got plastic paper in the soup. Because I also cook, I know that this is the wrapping paper used to shape the tender. It should be The chef accidentally cut into it while cutting it. But unfortunately, the staff only waived the price of the extra tender item and did not replace the soup with plastic paper for me. The most uncomfortable thing for me was that for the next 20 minutes until I finished my meal, no one from the staff apologized to me. Great food but staff needs training

Quick lunch date with my favourite little guy. Pho was fast, fresh and tasty :)

I never post bad reviews, I’m usually adequately pleased quite easily. I was very surprised by the food served to me at this restaurant. It was a very small portion of plain steamed veg, a few pieces of tofu, rice and a little bowl of sauce to pour on the steamed veg for flavour. It was quite a poor and merger offering, especially considering it was about $20. Maybe their meat options are much better, but at least for their vegan/ vegetarian offerings, it was a sad experience. I hope they will do better.

We have visited this restaurant many times and found the quality did not meet our expectations this time.

I’ve been a customer at pho boi for a decade, as most know, there was a complete staff and kitchen changeover. The first few months were rocky and customer service was hit and miss. Food was noticeably different. I waited to return and am happy to say that the last 3 visits customer service improved and the pho is actually better than previously. I would love to say the same about the beef stew. It used to be my favourite but now it’s very dry, bland, tough meat. Previously it was fall apart meat and it was spiced well with star anise and cinnamon, this new stew is cooked quickly and seems just like boiled meat in pho broth. Overall, some more kinks to work out and I hope they come around and become a great restaurant in Nanaimo (again)

We ordered salad rolls, pho soup, and a vermicelli bowl. It had absolutely zero flavour. The salad rolls had a bizarre texture. Very disappointed spending $65 on something that tasted like nothing.

The broth here is arguably the best in Nanaimo but they have such a thick language barrier the service leaves something to be desired.I usually have the Bo Bun Hue which is 5 star for flavour.

Food and service are both very good. Food comes fast and is devoured just as fast. The portion sizes are big but the prices aren't. A great spot for vietnamese.

After struggling to find the restaurant as they have no visible signage, we sat ourselves, waited a decent amount of time to have 2 menus (3 people dining) literally thrown on the table as our waitress walked by with out so much as a word spoken to us! Then as we were further ignored, we walked out and will never go back! Not sure I have ever had such rude, dismissive service or lack thereof.
