Some of the best hotdogs and milkshakes ever! Their milkshakes are very decent size (two big scoops) so make sure you are not too full! Great staff and awesome patio to enjoy the weather. Lots of free parking in the residential area behind at the top of the hill.

This is definitely a the best ice cream shop in town! I love coming here it refreshes me and since it’s so hot out I will come here everyday. I got the Sour Watermelon it is my favourite! They have awesome special cones with cereals and chocolate on them. There is an awesome peach drink which will definitely refresh you in the hot summer heat. I love this place definitely coming back here so much I will tell all my friends about this awesome place

I stumbled upon Big Dee's Ice Cream Shop by sheer coincidence, and boy, am I glad I did! This place is like a magical wonderland for your taste buds. The ice cream is so good, it's almost criminal. I had a scoop of their flavor, bubble gum and I swear, I could hear The King himself singing in my head. The decor of the place is quirky and fun, with ice cream dripping on the wall and tubes with names of drinks It's like stepping into a time machine that takes you back to the good old days of soda fountains and sock hops. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating Talk about customer service! If you're in the mood for some delicious ice cream and a good laugh, Big Dee's is the place for you. Just don't blame me if you get brain freeze from eating too much of their delicious treats!

Definitely a go to ice cream place when in Nelson, I got the birthday cake and a delicious surprise of birthday cake chunks came with it. Way to good to skip . The owner and workers are all really nice and if your gluten free or vegan they have options for you as well

I just loved this place! The flavours all seemed good but I picked the Sour watermelon candy flavourful, It was great. The prices all seemed reasonable but I didnt pay, thats because I get for going on a class trip ? The workers where nice and talkitive. Overall it was a good experience but I do have to comment on one thing poorly. The specialty cones. You can either buy two scoops or 1 scoop and a cone. The cones look fun but there not that good. I know it was just my first experience and my mind isn't fully made up but my cone did break and I had to eat it with my hands. Overall 9/10 would recommend.

All of there flavours are mouth watering I got three thing the watermelon candy, lemonade and a macaron they were all 10/10 she hand all of the stuff they have. And if you are vegan they have that to I would highly recommended you stop by Big D’s if you are ever in Nelson BC

I don't know if you've tried their chili yet but you need to! Everything about this place is a win! The macarons are ridiculous, the hot dogs are fantastic! She uses local products that are amazing quality and there's vegan options as well. The fact that it looks like a magazine cover is just a bonus. I can't wait to try the icecream ?

Cannot believe all the vegan options, makes me so happy!!! Vegan ICE CREAM not sorbetto!!!!! And ice cream sandwiches, hotdog and a vegan cheese sauce. Wow, thank you, we'll definitely be back.

Good place to go for a quick bite or an ice cream. The food is good tasting but rather on the expensive side at $15 for a gourmet wiener. It is all locally sourced so that contributes to the price. I would recommend trying it for yourself, I will be going back from time to time.

WOW -- I got the strawberry cheesecake flavour and it might honestly be the best ice cream flavour I've tried. Not too sweet, great quality ingredients. Best ice cream in town.
