This is a very good westernized Mexican restaurant. You're greeted with multi colored tortilla chips with a freshly made salsa that has hints of cilantro but isn't spicy. The vegan wild mushroom quesadilla is really great with a side salad. Had the chicken tortilla soup which was a bit spicy and a side salad. Great servers attending to your needs and to details like guiding vegans through the menu.

The only thing better than the food was the service. I can't have spicy, and our host was very thoughtful in substituting things in order to make for a great dining experience.

The restaurant was good. The reason I gave a few “3's is because my husband and I do not often go to a Mexican restaurant as we only like some of the food. We do not like corn tortillas. What we had we enjoyed.

Cantina is not your regular “Mexican food for non-Mexicans”. It is quite authentic and the dishes are unique and delicious. No heistation to recommend this restaurant unless what you are after is ubiquitous fish tacos and chicken quesadillas. Can't speak to the cocktails as we did not drink

I realize that restaurants aim to have what is known in the business as a “buzz” when you arrive. However, at 7:00 pm on a Friday in the main dining room the noise level was uncomfortable. People were shouting in an effort to be heard by the others at their table. The “thumping” non-Mexican style music in the background in concert with the constant martini shaker noise from the bar and shouting patrons added up to an experience I couldn't wait to exit. Our server was competent and friendly. The food was as expected ... reasonably priced.

Please hire a Mexican Chef that cooks with excellence. Your restaurant is so beautiful and new that needs Justice. Customer Service was excellent. Thank you .

Our food and drinks were amazing. The service unfortunately was not. Once we were seated, we had to wait quite a long time before our server came over. Once we ordered, the food came in a reasonable time, although my husband's meal was piping hot and mine was just warm. I ate it anyways (still delicious but would have been better hot) The server did come by once later to see if we wanted another drink but we were almost done by then. After waiting for another long time we waved down a busser and asked for a takeout container ( the portions were generous ) and packaged our leftovers before she finally came back and we were able to ask for the bill. Well worth going because of the excellent food and drink menu, just make sure you have lots of time to spare.

Wonderful place in the heart of Edgemont village. Easy online reservation, took into consideration my request for seating, the waiter was a super nice guy, friendly and humorous in the perfect way (just the right amount of wit with impeccable service). It was Monday night, so it was not too busy, super pleasant and delicious. Will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

We really enjoyed our evening here. The service was great. The drinks were delicious . The food is amazing, but the portion sizes on a few items are off for what you get. We ordered an aguachile to share and we barely got a taste each - the dish is very small and very expensive. The shrimp quesadilla was tasty and easy to share. The mussels are to die for. All in all we would definitely go back.

I was there on a Friday around 6:30 pm...It was a super loud place and I cannot even hear my friends sitting next to me. We had to keep shouting for an hour before getting the food and get the hell out. I'll try another day or time when it's less busy to really enjoy the food and atmosphere.

The food was fantastic and the sangria delicious. Service seemed a bit stretched for a Friday. However, the noise level was extreme. Our teens were frustrated they couldn't converse with our table of six (actual yelling was needed) so they pulled out there phones. Orders had to be relayed three times and paired with pointing at the menu to get the point across. The noise level will keep us from visiting until patio season. This was the second visit where it was uncomfortably loud.

The food was delicious. We were a group of 5 and each of us received our meals hot and tasty in a timely manner. The portion sizes were sufficient to feed our hungry men. Our server was pleasant and efficient. Conversation was always possible even though the restaurant was full when we arrived and quite noisy, as the evening progressed and the clientele changed the noise level dropped significantly. We will definitely return.

Love the decor and ambiance but not the noise levels. Sitting near the bar is the noisiest area. Maybe consider installing some noise baffles. I'd love to see some new menu additions and some simple dishes like a Mexican burger ? and chips. There's no restaurant to get a burger or sandwich in the Village. Great restaurant.
