I got the tie Tisha Fung cake. The cake is quite affordable for the quality that you’re getting. I absolutely love the Thai tea jelly that’s on it. The buttercream is light yet prominent in flavor. The chiffon inside is extremely buttery. I left some in the fridge for three days and it was still so moist after period. This is rare.
It seems like such a simple concept… With three ingredients. But every single component of this cake was so well done. Done to perfection, if you will.
I also added the additional cookie sign… Which is totally worth it. At first, I was a little sceptical because they charged for the sign… But honestly? I’m so glad I did. Because it’s delicious. And the writing is quite nice too.

I got the date pecan chiffon cake, and it was amazing! As a big fan of red dates, I loved the rich flavor, it was so fragrant without being overly sweet. The cake itself was incredibly soft and fluffy, almost like a cloud. Definitely come back for more!

YUDI meets all my expectations: the sweetness is just right (truly delicious without being overly sweet), everything is fresh, the ingredients are top-quality and generously used, and the flavors are rich with layers. From the time the owner decided to study pastry in Japan to the success of today’s increasingly popular cake shop, they have been down-to-earth and dedicated to quality and taste—a rare find among bakeries. Eating cake usually means gaining weight, but with cakes from this shop, it’s worth it, because it’s pure enjoyment.

I ordered their Thai tea chiffon cake and Hojicha chiffon cake and they are both amazing! The whipped cream for Thai tea is not too sweet, just the right amount of tea flavored in the cream so you could really taste the balance of sweetness and the signature Thai tea flavor. The Hojicha cake is also really tasty. The richness of the Hojicha is what I didn’t get from other places that also sell Hojicha cakes. Therefore, I really recommend Yudi’s cake! It’s the best place to get your cakes!

Luckily we found out this little hidden gem in Richmond. We were looking for a birthday cake for my grandma last minute, and we just grabbed whatever was available, and it was very yummy. Will definitely come back to try other cakes.
P.s. the cake we got was the strawberry jam chiffon cake.
We had been to Yudi a few times now, their chiffon cakes are very yummy and the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended the Matcha, chestnut, Hojicha, and pistachio chiffon cakes.

This is our second time ordering a cake here. While the taste of the cake is good, I am disappointed with this order. I ordered an 8-inch cake but was given a 5-inch one instead. Even worse, the writing on the cake was supposed to say “Happy 100 Days Alena,” but it was written as “1000 day.” These are not small mistakes — they affect both the value and the meaning of the cake for the gathering. Accuracy and attention to detail need to be taken much more seriously. I hope the shop can improve on this for future orders.
