The boss has a bad attitude

I've ordered from here before and have been pleased with the taste of all of their dishes. For Christmas this year, I wanted to order a lobster. I was told that the lobster was $20/lb and they would charge for cooking it separately. Noodle was extra too, but it was $1 more. I pre-ordered it and asked for a 2 to 2.5lb lobster. On Christmas day, I came to pick it up and was shocked that the price was over $95 for the lobster. My head is still reeling over this. Even if the lobster was $40 to $50, I was charged the same for having it cooked which is strange. I understand it was a special order and they don't stock lobsters in the restaurant. They would have to acquire it from a seafood provider then prepare it.

Update: It was a pricey lobster but it was very well prepared. The green onion and ginger sauce was delicious and the Yee Mein at the bottom was good too. My recommendation is to charge $100 for a lobster with noodles. Don't even mention the labor. When asked how big the lobster is, say its about 2lb. That way, there's no misunderstanding or sticker shock.

This is a hidden gem! Fully recommend it! The food is delicious, all is really good! Fast service, friendly staff! We ordered food for a party with 16 people and they all loved it! They kept asking where’s this place and they all took food home as we had plenty! Really delicious food, we’ll definitely go back!

Found this hidden gem via other recommendations, what a pleasant surprise! What you don't get is a glitzy atmosphere or ostentatious decor. This is a no nonsense, just great food restaurant. Ample portions, fast and friendly service and, above all else, the authentic Chinese home style cooking that is so hard to come by without spending hundreds of dollars. The unfortunate thing for us is that, for only 2 people, we cannot sample all of the fine dishes offered. Gotta come back, and since we live in Chilliwack, sadly it will take some time to return. But we will! I can't understand why some rate this so poorly, what they must have experienced. Clearly, it's not the norm. Trust the generous reviews, mine included.

I have been ordering food here since 2011, with the old owners retired or sold the restaurant. The food has changed! It's gross! I spent $68 plus tip! For a dinner for 2-3 people. For soggy and wet fried rice with barely any chicken an egg. Looked like just rice and Peas.The wonton in my soup were falling apart and didn't even have the correct amount wonton (ordered 9 and was only 5 pieces) we also got no spring rolls like she offered us. I'll never oder from here again!
