The food was tasteless and the milk tea has no sugar at all. This place used to be my favourite but I don't know what's wrong with the chef and staff now. Can't believe that no sugar in the milk tea as a standard.

The Taiwanese cuisines in this restaurant are definitely authentic. The mild spicy chili with tofu and minder pork is very compatible with rice. The squid with 3 spice sauce is not that spicy and salty, so you can even have it without rice. The Taiwanese oyster omelet taste like the one you have in Taiwan, especially the sauce on it, and it has many oysters in it. The Wanluan pork hock is well-cooked and chewy, and very good with the garlic sauce they made. The staff are friendly and passionate.

I love their WanLuen Pork Hock. That’s the dish that makes me keep coming back. I have been to the restaurant a couple times but I usually order takeout. Convenient and everything is well packed. Portion sizes are adequate and prices are not cheap but acceptable.

I’ve tried more than 10 Taiwanese restaurants in Vancouver and this place is definitely above the average. Their pig feet are so tender but chewy at the same time. All dishes are not excessively salty but super flavourful. Definitely worth going with friends or even dates ?

Had the hot and sour soup and it was delicious. Large portion, fresh ingredients and lots of pork and shrimp. The service is excellent and very welcoming - will definitely be back

Entrance was really dirty. The inside decor is definitely showing it's age. The oyster pancake for $17.99 was rubbery and chewy, hardly any oyster and was drenched with the gluey sauce. The pig hock rice set was not bad.
We visited it on Nov19th 2022. The food was great portion and the service was great. The male server provided us great service. Definitely we will come back again.

Middle-of-the-road Taiwanese food with several vegetarian options. A bit run-down and tired looking, but perfectly clean, comfortable and authentic, this is a decent Taiwanese spot. They have half a dozen or so vegetarian items, and all dishes can be turned into a meal by adding rice and 3 small veggie dishes for $4 (all the veggie dishes already come with rice, so it was $3 for just the veggies). The waitress serving me was very helpful to find a suitable dish to order. I got the Tofu with Three Spice Sauce ($17.50 + $3 for the veggies, plus tax). The food came out in about 10 minutes. The tofu is deep fried, and comes with a bit of basil and lots of dried ginger (?) slices in a sizzling hot pot with a semi-sweet, savoury sauce. It wasn't the most exciting dish, but the flavours were somewhat new to me (in a decent way). The side of veggies was pretty pointless, as you get a bit of corn (seemed like creamed corn), very briny and sweet black fungus, and sweet white cabbage -- I wouldn't recommend ordering this. If I came back -- and I'm not super motivated to -- I'd just try to order a more well-rounded meal with proper veggies. All in all, a decent meal, but nothing special.

Of the many great Taiwanese restaurants in this area, Corner 23 may have the best overall menu. The flavour is always authentically Taiwanese. We don't even have a specific dish to recommend. We like them all.

Food is still fantastic, though sad to say business is just so poor. Heartbreaking to see so few walk in customers. Just pray they have better business during dinner time. Good luck!!!
