Staff was helpful in helping me get my order. Didn't fuss when I downsized my order to get their popcorn shrimp instead of more chicken.
The food comparison is going to be against Churches fried chicken.
Chicken is well seasoned, maybe too seasoned for me as I didn't taste as much chicken. Meat wasn't dry but not juicy like churches. Plus side, didn't feel as greasy as churches chicken.
Onion rings were alright, crunchy outside but onion on the inside and still crispy.
Popcorn shrimp, I was excited for! , not good at all. Didn't taste shrimp, just bits of batter. Definitely not good.

Atmosphere was alright, but we didn't come for the atmosphere, did we? lol. We came for the crunchy tasty chicken, and it was great. It took about 10min, which is a bit long for fast food, but it was super fresh. So, worth the wait...

I am writing to formally raise concerns regarding the conduct and performance of a particular manager at your location, whom I have observed on multiple occasions during my visits. I am a healthcare professional working at a nearby hospital and am a frequent customer of your establishment. Unfortunately, the repeated lack of professionalism and inefficiency demonstrated by this individual has compelled me to bring this matter to your attention.
Most recently, during my visit on Thursday evening around 7 or 8 PM, I experienced an inordinate delay of approximately 20 minutes for a single sandwich. This was not due to overwhelming customer volume but rather the manager’s evident unwillingness to engage in operational tasks. Instead of stepping in to assist during peak time, she persistently summoned crew members from the back of house to fulfill front-line duties while she remained idle.
This pattern of behavior is unacceptable, especially from someone in a leadership role. A competent manager is expected to demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and the ability to multitask — particularly when their team is preoccupied with essential back-of-house responsibilities. It is concerning that she not only abstains from contributing but simultaneously imposes unrealistic expectations on her team. Leadership by example is fundamental; if a manager fails to embody that principle, it undermines both staff morale and operational efficiency.
Additionally, her demeanor toward her subordinates was notably discourteous, bordering on disrespectful. Such conduct fosters a toxic work environment and reflects poorly on the organization as a whole. Of further concern is the fact that she intentionally removes her name tag, thereby evading accountability — a practice that is both unprofessional and ethically questionable. She is identifiable by a prominent gold nose ring and gold chain.
From the standpoint of someone accustomed to high standards of accountability and performance in a hospital setting, I find her behavior alarming and entirely inconsistent with the expectations of a managerial position. If Popeyes continues to employ individuals who lack the initiative or competence to fulfill fundamental leadership responsibilities, then additional staff may be necessary to compensate — or more qualified managers should be considered.
I trust that this matter will be reviewed with the seriousness it warrants and that appropriate steps will be taken to ensure improvements in service quality, staff treatment, and leadership accountability.
