??Pandas chiffon cake: The flavor is light but the butter flavor is very fragrant, moist and soft??kaya toast: A little sweet, but quite fragrant, but it feels like a taste you can replicate at home ?rendang beef puff: I was a little disappointed after buying it after reading the good reviews. Not only does it look different from what others bought, the puff pastry is not very crispy and the filling is a bit lacking.

Could this dirty cup have come from an auto repair shop? The combination of dirt and something floating in the water was surreal. The service towards the customers was not to mention, unfriendly. When two of us went and said I would sit first until our other friend arrived, he made us wait at the entrance until our friend came. When we said we were ready to order, the waiter just handed us the menu and left without saying a word. Even when it came to paying the bill, he just gave us the card machine without saying anything about how the meal was. Whether it’s a waiter or the boss, he doesn’t seem fit to work in a restaurant. It’s not about expecting kindness, it’s about showing the minimum courtesy to the customers.

I have found the most authentic Singaporean restaurant here on the West Coast! Food portions here are generous for its value and there is a wide array of choices plus occasional specials. We had the delicious prawn mee, the fried chicken where the chicken was moist & tender on the inside, the satay with its thick peanut sauce, the curry chicken with a generous serving of chicken, potato & thick gravy, chwee kueh that was so tasty without the dripping oil, the roti prata, the kaya toast, the chiffon cake, the pulot hitam...This was our best food-find & we will definitely return to Shiok! when we travel to Vancouver again!!

I won’t comment at length on the paper wrapping my takeout came with, only that unless you were taking this home to eat, it would be pretty tough to get takeout for work.Like another reviewer said two years ago, the rice is not anywhere fragrant enough. They don’t offer roasted garlic in oil as a condiment. The chicken is smooth and tender, generously given, but again, lacks the extra something that I’ve enjoyed elsewhere. Will not be returning.

Authentic Singaporean, right down to the sauces for different dishes like char siew rice and taupok appetizer. Kudos! The nasi lemak and prawn noodle was also up to par. Satay and Mee Rebus' also above the other restaurants, head and shoulders.Honestly, better than some of the established guys around Vancouver.Keep it up! You've got a regular. Thank you.

I already want to come back. No complaints. The food was great, service was friendly and the atmosphere and decor was very modern and inviting. I loved each dish, especially the chicken rice and Kaya toast. Can’t wait to come back ?

The boneless chicken is a little bland but it was not all that bad either. The rice is also a little dry. The soup here is the best out of the 3 chicken rice restaurants that I have been to in Vancouver. The server was polite and had a great attitude. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience but the chicken rice falls short of the taste that I am used to having back in Singapore.

The food is delicious and the service attitude is also very good. Come with your baby to dine. There are child seats and meals suitable for babies. I will definitely come again!Kid-friendliness: Super awesome ?

Enjoyed dining here with my Singaporean friend as I always love yummy food stories. Dining while learning the stories behind the dishes makes this place more authentic. After many years of dining in Vancouver, I am still just beginning to understand the difference between Singapore dishes and the Malaysian variations. My favorite appetizer was the steamed water rice cake. It was my first time trying this item and it was memorable as it even reminded me of a traditional Taiwanese snack my Grandma made. I would definitely return to try more dishes with their friendly service and cozy ambiance.
