The steam dumplings here are spectacular, thin-skinned with tons of filling and just the right texture. Dip it in a little black vinegar that's provided and it's heaven. My family loved the dumpling soup, the broth was so pleasant and not overly salty.I was a huge fan of the spicy rice cake (noodle) dish that was a bargain as the combo comes with 5 pan-fried dumplings too! ($15)Great prices and awesome dumplings - try it!

Kind and quick service. We ordered the dumpling soup and loved it. Hearty, not too salty and generous portion. Our toddler loved the veggie and noodle buns. Unfortunately they don't have high chairs for kids but they made room for our stroller and it worked fine. We'll be back next time we're in Victoria.Kid-friendliness: Not too salty options. Room for stroller at the table.

I understand why it's called Chubby Dumplings. The prawn and pork dumplings were so good, I literally got a chubby. Don't even get me started on the steam buns. 10/10 best dumplings I've ever put in my mouth.

The food is passible, if you're willing to put up with a chef who apparently takes his playbook from the movie Big Night (i.e., no changes, substitutions or additions to the menu selections). The difference here is that this is not an Italian restaurant, and there are better examples of places where you can get dumplings or noodles in the immediate vicinity.

This small homey restaurant was the first restaurant I went to in Victoria and it did not disappoint whatsoever! The dumplings were absolutely fantastic and I had the cold noodles which were extremely tasty as well. I also spoke to the chef at the end and she is the sweetest lady. Definitely recommend this restaurant for some delicious and filling dumplings ❤

These dumplings will make you chubby because you can't have just one. Chubby Dumpling was a solid spot for dumplings in Victoria. Glad we were able to have this tasty snack, just right across from where we were staying. Located in Victoria's Chinatown area, we spotted Chubby Dumpling while walking towards the Chinatown neighborhood from our airbnb. With a name like that, who wouldn't be curious? Plus, we always have room for dumplings. We visited on a late afternoon on a Saturday, so we were the only ones dining inside. One other patron was getting takeout. Since we already had lunch, we just wanted to try their dumplings, so my partner and I shared the shrimp, pork and chive dumplings, which didn't take long to get. In addition to the dumplings, our server gave us some pickled radish to go with the dumplings and provided a vinegar-soy sauce for dipping. The dumplings were tasty! They were steamed and had a good amount of portion of pork and shrimp. For a plate, it came with eight dumplings, so was good for sharing. If you're looking for some dumplings in Victoria, then Chubby Dumpling is a solid eatery for just that.

I've eaten dumplings in many cities and these are the best I've ever had. We ordered the whole shrimp w pork and chive, the pan fried pork and cabbage, and the kimchi dumpling soup . All were uniquely and distinctly flavored and all were delicious. Thought we'd have leftovers to take home but we couldn't resist eating everything we were served. Service was good even with most tables being occupied at fairly close to closing time... My only complaint is I just wish they would stay open later.

We nearly didn't go into Chubby Dumpling because the name was so kitch and gimmicky, but when we looked through the window, the restaurant was full, which is usually a good sign. Are we glad we went. The restaurant is small, but the tables were well spaced. I ordered the Kimchi Dumpling Soup and my husband ordered the regular Dumpling Soup. The soup came with 8 delicious dumplings and the broth was wonderful and exactly what was needed on a cold, wet, Victoria day! Our server was very attentive. It was very reasonably priced. Funnily enough, when we returned to our hotel, there was a local magazine which had a full page article raving about Chubby Dumpling! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This is a small unassuming restaurant. The quality of the food is great for the price you pay. Well seasoned dumplings with a good amount of filling. My husband and I each had a dumpling soup and shared the whole shrimp dumpling. We both felt very satisfied with the portions. Waiter was attentive and restaurant was clean.
